This is why I think the democrats would be shooting themselves in the foot if they really try to push the edges of the fraud thing. With Roberts no longer being the swing judge, its very clear which way SCOTUS will swing if it comes down to deciding when ballots have to be received. The LAST thing they should want is for this to go up to SCOTUS.

All of the skilled labor jobs are suffering because all kids think college is the way.

I got into the automotive industry right out of high school and it's been great to me. I tell every young kid that has any interest in cars to go after it. I didn't spend 4-8 years floundering in school. By the time I reach 40 I'll have 20+ years in a skilled trade. Now the flip side of the coin my body is going to kill me in about 15 years but fuck it, hopefully I made enough money and invested it correctly to make it work for me until I die at 60 of some kind of cancer, thanks automotive industry!

Can't help but draw more parrallels with the UK again.

In the 2019 election Labour support collapsed in many places that had long been considered their demense, some seats having been Labour since either their creation, or since the creation of the Labour Party itself.

I'm wondering what states there are that could be considered Democrat under threat that the party is pretending it has the support for.

I suppose Virginia, Minne, PA which are knife edge fights are likely instead to go very firmly republican this time around as people are increasingly turned off by the batshit, californian/New York esque policies of the Democrats.

The 1990s were effectively split into the early-mid period before 1997 under John Major and the late 1990s under Tony Blair. Major carried on Thatcher's policies from the 1980s and privatised British Rail, something still controversial to this day. There were disputes with the EU leading to the Black Wednesday economic crash in 1993, but generally most people could find work, compared to the turmoil of the 1970s and early 1980s when millions of people were stuck on the dole. Attitudes were fairly confident as a result. Property was a lot more affordable than it is today, but unemployment rates in 2019 before the virus hit were actually better than they were then.

Blair's landslide election in 1997 didn't actually change the country much at all economically since Labour moved massively to the centre to win over moderates (basically the opposite of Corbyn), but it did socially. While it would only start to really become apparent in the 2000s, political progressivism got a major public mandate with that election, leading to growing movements for closer integration with the EU, mass immigration, and acceptance of "multiculturalism" (Islam). This would eventually culminate in Brexit and the nationalist backlash in the 2010s.

Culturally speaking, rock music was mainstream as opposed to hip hop being dominant today, and football was about as big as it is now. Rising ticket prices and declining alcohol consumption, along with the founding of the Premier League and increased prestige and money in the sport, cut down on the hooliganism which had plagued it in the 1980s and made it a much more respectable pastime. Rugby union went professional in 1995, meaning the proficiency and prestige of the sport started to increase dramatically in the latter half of the decade.

The UK in the 90's had a second "Swingin' London" resurgence-- it once again become a cultural powerhouse. A lot of popular tv shows started getting shipped to the US with BBC America, for example. Pop music kept UK bands and singers at the tops of charts. Even Tony Blair used a song from a 60's art band for his campaign theme:

And then Tony got into office, lol

We can all wish this is the map but it’s gonna be a close one. But goddamn I can feel a Trump win. Especially with the repost of his supporters driving their cars around Biden’s bus while he camping just shows how excited they are to vote for orange man. God I can’t wait to see the tears and blood that will be flowing when it’s announced he won.

Man, I'm in somewhere in my 30s and I couldn't do what he does 🤣 I'm just wondering if quality over quantity would be better.

Maybe it's the setting, he seems to do his best with huge crowds around him. This seems a smaller event.

Can't expect every rally to be top notch, yesterday in Florida was amazing.
