I pointed that out because of the bizarre current year trend of taking the word of anyone with a science degree dead seriously, when they're just people too and they can be paid by anyone to research particular topics, ignore others, and even fudge figures for their client

This trend has really proven how many people want to be told what to think and do so much so that they'll appoint scientists with basic degrees as authority with very little credible proof that they're even qualified. People really do want a nanny state to take out the intricacies of "adulting" as it's known today.

That's awful. Was this an already busy hospital? People like to hand wave the fact that hospitals are getting paid for their COVID deaths, but that's a very real factor and is completely disgusting.

There were three or four empty rooms in a CICU that had a grand total of 12 rooms.

They didn't appear any busier than usual. And it would still be disgusting that they tried to blackmail us into a DNR. Just a note - my father did not have COVID.

I never got to say a proper goodbye to my dad before he died last week.

This is why I hope that Biden will lose.

A typical Civil War that most countries go through is not on the table. In reality the riots this year could have been put down with NGs early on, but the DNC got into a game of chicken with Trump they could not win, so cities were allowed to burn like a westcoast forest fire.

Speaking of the Westcoast, I could see a big push for west coast session if Trump landslides, with the rhetoric being "We're not apart of this racist, bigoted country anymore!" And that could be a sparking off point for civil war. But good luck getting the Northwest to join CA as a joint sovereign state. Oregonians would just be happy to finally be able to violently deport Californians back south.

Having said that, If I was living in the US, I would vote for Biden. The mainstream media are the biggest instigators, so giving them what they want will surely calm the tensions the whole country is facing.

Someone I know had to be put in a large US hospital in a major city under significant COVID restrictions a few days ago, got out yesterday. It was not anywhere near full.

Trump hasn't destroyed identity politics, that's for the population to decide on whether they want it or not. He's merely ripped the mask off and shown the public how radicalized and militant many following Wokism have become.

On your second point- why would you give the media what they want? It only means that you're affirming to them that their techniques work- and that only kicks the issue down the road while ceding ground.

Trump proved that identity politics is not a winning strategy.
The media will forever control the narrative. You can't win against them. There is no ground to cede.

Personally I disagree, if I were American I'd vote for trump and not just cause I think it'd be funny. I see it as something of a protest vote in a sense, if the dems is willing to prop up a demented old guy with no platform and documented issues with corruption and expect me to just vote him in cause he ain't trump, then they deserve four more years of orange man madness.

I would rather suffer through another few months of unrest than let them have that win. Cause the way I see it, if they get away with this now they'll get away with it forever.
