US Joe Biden News Megathread - The Other Biden Derangement Syndrome Thread (with a side order of Fauci Derangement Syndrome)

Let's pretend for one moment that he does die before the election, just for the funsies. What happens then? Will the nomination revert to option number 2, aka Bernie Sanders? Or will his running mate automatically replace him just the way Vice-President is supposted to step in after the Big Man in the White House chokes on a piece of matzo? Does he even have a running mate yet?

How many here will be salty if Biden wins (full disclosure, I probably will be)?
In the unlikely event of this occurring I will be too busy being worried about what the upcoming Harris administration(Biden won't be president for more than a month or two at most in this scenario)will do rather than being upset that the guy I liked lost and that I was wrong to think he was probably going to win. That said, again, I consider a Trump victory probable, my main concern is said win being close enough that the Dems will think that they can plausibly win by cheating. Which means that this will wind up going to the SCOTUS because Trump will fight it out in the event of fraud.

A Biden landslide is something that I am 99% sure won't happen regardless of anything else.

I'll be disappointed and try my best just to disengage with politics as a whole to go back to a normal life. I know because spending every waking moment being pissed off at Biden/Harris would be bad for my mental health especially if we look at the TDS sufferers.

I've gotten myself mixed up in IRL politics like a jackass, so I will be contractually obligated to be salty. I'll try to keep it offline though.

Yeah generally not a good idea to do the whole "drink poison and expect the other person to die" thing

I'll shrug and just kind of continue doing whatever the hell I have to in order to keep the lights on. A Biden/Harris win is unlikely to be immediately disastrous, but we'll probably be feeling it in a couple years

It's always far more satisfying to laugh at politics compared to being overly consumed it. I have TES family members that are convinced the country will burn if Trump loses and nothing I can say will get them to calm down. It's depressing.

The hard, hard pivot back to draconian Covid measures in the past days reeks of despair and that's probably pushing more people away than anything now. Corona Chan is still around but people want to be with their families for Thanksgiving and Christmas. They might allow New Years to be quiet but those two holidays, after months of being forced in isolation in the more bitch made states, has made people cry for a sense of normalcy. And Trump, for all the hand wringing and concern about how he's acted, is that sense of normalcy.

I read California's bullshit rules for Thanksgiving gatherings which are psychotically set up to the point where it's just asking for someone to take a swing at a cop or anyone who tries to break up their gathering. This is what people will have with Biden. And finally we've hit that wave where people are just saying no more.

This site is here for harvesting salt, and that’s what I plan to do. No matter who loses, we win. Gonna grab a glass of whiskey and watch the salt pour in. (I will be salty if there is obvious tampering and no one tries to cover it up. Lazy scammers piss me off.)

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances, except if some boomers die of chinkaids.

It will be a real bummer. I'll probably go out and chop a lot of wood if that happens, it's relaxing. But otherwise I've got a house to tend to and I live in a very safe and secure location far away from a lot of this junk. So I'll still have my own little world to worry about. And I've been able to conceptualize that Trump could lose for many months now, so it isn't like my world will shatter.

That said, I will be quite concerned about the future of the nation as a whole. A Biden victory will validate the extreme left's ideas that street violence and breaking the rules in order to get your way is a winning strategy. I can't deny that Trump and his people have been assholes about a lot of what they do; but they're still following the Republican ideal of being a massive asshole within the confines of the system. Trump's people didn't throw rocks at police officers, burn down the courthouse, and try to erase history.

So it's going to be a sad day for the country if these people feel validated and we go back to the old guard that wants "managed decline" while they line their pockets. I'd rather have Trump lining his pockets while I also get to line my own, which is what the last four years have been. These have been a phenomenally productive time in my life after twelve years of very rough living. It was Trump. But he's given me the ability to sustain myself better than I could have imagined; so if we go back into the darkness I'll be able to make my own light now. I just wish everyone had the opportunity and the desire... it really upsets me to see how many people of all ages don't want to work or have purpose. They want the handout and have no desire to overcome their personal problems, opting instead to be defined by them in order to get free stuff.

This one gave me a chuckle:

Also does someone have this archived? Youtube-dl isn't working for me anymore and I have to register to get the new one. And I don't want to register.

Here you go. If you don't mind Java, Jdownloader 2 works alright for archiving Youtube, but the interface is kind of a pain.

Stay home so Grandma can live miserable and alone for an extra month, bigot.

Also those guidelines are laughably unenforceable. Imagine cops going full ham on a family that decided to have four people over and sit inside and watch some TV while eating pie.

Well I'll certainly be annoyed, possibly angry, but I don't think I would go so far as to say I would be salty about it.

Then again, I honestly can't stand listening to another word he says since I have no freaking idea what he's talking about.

This is our future if this guy wins and isn't immediately forced out. A patently stupid, senile, corrupt, uncharismatic non-entity.

Oh PS, screw him and any possible lockdown measures or extensions he wants.

His team is looking really desperate right now.

i will be salty as fuck. but thats because i live in a blue city thats teetering between seattle style social engineering and neocon fuck the oi polloi. a biden win will just embolden all the activists and the local officials will cave.

Thanks, I always wanted to cringe so hard that my shoulder blades came out of my ass.

Even when Joe's campaign books Lady Gaga for a live appearance, 13 people show up and about half of them clap. Also is it my imagination or did Lady Gaga just appear out of fucking nowhere after she showed up in pictures that were on Hunter Biden's laptop? I don't remember her doing much of anything for his campaign until like, two days after that happened, and now she's showing up every fucking day.
