Those who advocate for free speech always seemed to have limits, they just wanted what their speech to be the accepted norm. Did the Berkeley free speech people want pro Vietnam War talk on campus? No. Did the right want porn? No. The video game and metal and rap music was a combination of Christians and Karens on both political spectrums. The political correct speech of the 90's was mostly from the left. There are waves of this kind of thing, and we are in another one. Everyone just wants their side to be dominant.
The Skeptics were atheists, anti-SJW. Did they want theists to have free speech? No, they called them idiots and brain washing people. Did they want SJW's to have free speech? Absolutely not. They were all just leftists who wanted to make it big on Youtube, get lots of views and cash, and anti-SJW was the way to do it. They just wanted degeneracy to be allowed in their media and to get fame and money. It's as simple as that.
Is porn really considered speech? Can I just throw it up on a billboard outside and it be covered under free speech? I don't think porn counts as speech. I was just trying to come up with recent times in history people believe were fights about free speech. The right thought porn wasn't, the left thought it was. The whole Larry Flynt situation.

I stop supporting him because of a few things. 1: he shutdown his discord’s server because ... he “recently hired a social media manager to assess my outreach, and the discord server is currently unsustainable. Neither she, nor I have the time to maintain the chats.” - this is off his public Patreon page. he is very wrong about this because nothing ever happens in his discord. In fact, there wasn’t any drama at all. Just people talking about a bunch of bullshit or just talking about his videos. Very chill place. Most of the time Greg was never there at all, So I don’t know why he felt this way. What pisses me off is that he uploaded his video ( I had my Patreon set to one video per month) and then shut down his Discord’s server right after. ( I mean, like 2 hours after he uploaded his video). I felt that was a dick move because he just did his monthly QnA with us and never said anything about how the server was running. what many other people think is that happening is, Greg promoted a user named “pepper Potts” to become a mod. Many people question this because “pepper” only joined the server 6 months ago and never took part in the chat. When a few of the more active users questions her about this, she said that she Armoured’s research assistant" and doesn’t want to step on anyone's toes. the next day, the server was shut down. other think “pepper” his new g/f and he being kinda whipped because she didn’t like people questioning her. Others feel that Greg’s is happening a mental breakdown because of his breakup with ShoeonHead. ( he talks about this a little bit in the server) When a few of us question if he is okay (mentally okay) on Twitter, he just blocks them ( people think he is just trying to bury what he is doing). I really don’t care about his personal life or if he is dating (From what I was told, his new g/f is living in Australia) but to block people who just want to make sure your doing okay and pull off that dick move with his video, was not cool. There are vague old "obscenity" laws which ban distributing material if it violates community standards with no artistic merit, but they're not used except in extreme cases like displaying porn in public places. Even then merely possessing the material is not illegal. Child and animal crush porn, which can only be produced by criminal activity, is explicitly banned by specific legislation.
It's telling that these debates were being had by people with no knowledge of first amendment law. Anyone going by those principles would have no issue with what Crowder said, but would also recognise that there isn't a legal right to use YouTube or Twitter.
