We were there right at 7 when it opened and there were only a few people in line in front of us. It took us an hour to get inside the building and another hour to get to the voting booth because of "problems with the printer" and the guy they called to fix it never showed up. One lady in front of me fucking left after about 40 minutes in because she needed to go to her job. When I finally got up to the room where the booths were they were doing 2 people at a time out of the 8 or 10 available booths. The particular booth that they were having problems with wasn't marked or anything, so people were sitting down and inserting their ballot into the machine, only for the machine to produce an error, so the guy in charge of the booths had to open the thing up to get the ballot out and just told them to choose another machine. The overall voting process took maybe 2 minutes otherwise. I really don't know who the hell hires these people.

I feel like this is intentional to stop trump people from voting. Everyone knows that the in person voting greatly favors Trump and the more they fuck around and make it so people can’t vote quickly, the more people will have to either work or not want to wait for hours.

Polls on the east coast start closing at 6 PM eastern time, or around midnight, 1 AM for the euros. First results usually start coming in an hour later and more definitive answers usually in 3 or 4. Things may be weird tonight though due to the coof.

No. Everything that isn't Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, or another major city is called "Pennsyltucky" for a reason. It's surprisingly rural.

Much of PA is extremely rural. The infrastructure is old, so it's not always easy to travel from point A to point B. The Poconos are very remote in terms of driving to the nearest grocery store. Tons of people enjoy living there because the cost of living is low, so they'll put up with the driving.

Even the small cities are "small town" in a lot of ways. You'll find a lot of small cities that center their entire economy on the local college or a a small number of industries, and everybody is related to everybody else.

You'll also find some pockets where people aren't your typical "white bread Americans"-- Mennonites who drive cars and speak PA German dialect here, a cluster of Russian Orthodox people there, towns where nearly everyone has Polish background.

Slightly off topic: I find it funny people also think NY and NJ are one gigantic armpit of a city-- those states have tons of rural areas. NJ has tons of "farmland preservation zones", multimillion dollar horse farms, speciality farms, heavily wooded zones designated for use by the military. Upstate NY is also very rural.

Hmm, I lived in that state a while ago. I wouldn't be surprised at this.

I've been getting tons of spam phone calls from a political party in that state there whereas I didn't last year and the year before. Part of me wonders if someone is using a fake registration in my name to cast a ballot. I'm registered where I currently live, so it's not as if I "forgot" to register here.

Of course there will be butthurt from either side no matter who wins, but to expect the right to have as big as a chimpout as the left is a bit foolish. the majority of republicans are either really old, old or middle age, those people don't have the energy to riot. Furthermore, because of how old people use social media, they will likely stick to their friend groups and be butthurt, nothing like how young people will openly shout at their camera or tweet for the world to see. You may see some younger republicans do that if Boden wins.

I'm not saying that there won't be any right wing chimpout, but the one that they can produce will be nothing like the neurotic left's rioting
