Joe Biden will likely win Pennsylvania. It's rare for a presidential candidate to lose their own home state and biden is strategically from that state, a state which was almost guaranteed to go to Clinton in 2016 but surprisingly didn't.

If he fucked up so badly on the energy issue that he loses his own state then god damn.
I don't think your average Pennsylvanian takes the IMMA SCRANTON COAL MINER AND MINED DAT ANTHRACITE as anything but an escaped nursing home patient's lunatic ranting. They vote for him because he isn't Trump, not because he's a good ol' coal miner.

I don’t mind Scott Adams but he’s way too full of himself when he comes up with weird takes like the dad jokes thing. He says it so matter-of-fact but it’s such an odd reach.
Yeah, if you're gonna go with something like that, it's much more reasonable to say that there's just more shy Trump supporters than they can account for. Given that saying you support Trump can (without exaggeration) ruin your entire life, that seems like a reasonable thing to believe.

HOWEVER, the polls have been so consistently lopsided this time even with the correction that if they're wrong for this election, they will (or should) cease to be a useful metric of public opinion. We'd just have to figure out something else. I find that a very unlikely outcome.

I just voted for Biden alongside multiple first time voting family members and those of friends, I'm only bringing this up because the farms seems to be in a safe space bubble where Trump will absolutely win and support is at an all time high. This type of insularity is not unique or indicative of anything, it makes the farms a bit disappointing really but the election's a toss up and I'm having fun all the way down.

People are voting more across the board, not just conservatively. Neg rate me to hell but I'm stocked up on booze and ready to find enjoyment in either outcome.
please stay here, we need diversity of opinion

He's also done everything possible to alienate that state, flip flopping on fracking, getting up in union worker's faces, ect.

Give me all the :optimistic:s you want but it could still go red.
Still think it's a pretty big toss up. Trump needs to win by a landslide or else the mail in ballots get counted later on.

Do you think there’s a chance of this place being shut down under Biden? There was already a test run of that on reddit with a bunch of right wing subreddits.
Oh they’re coming for all the forums no matter what. Imo they’ll be more keen on it if Trump wins as smaller forums and such will be blamed for the spread of “Russian disinformation.”

Is there any place to follow the election numbers or is it a crapshoot as always?
They never go by the first call anyway. It'll probably be next year by the time the numbers are figured, especially with how fucked up things are now.

There's a case headed to the supreme court about mail ins that has the dems are freaking out about due to ACB's confirmation, but I know jack shit about it.

I think people do purposefully lie to pollsters. But the question is how significant is it?
Under the assumption 4 years ago saying you'd vote for Trump would have people laughing at you, as opposed to now where they will actively attempt to destroy your property and livelihood, I'd say the likelihood people lie is pretty high
