It's insane. I voted by mail two weeks ago. Are they claiming people only mailed in their ballots yesterday and today?
I was watching the news this evening. They had people dropping shit off at the drop off ballot boxes last minute "because it took them until the last minute to figure it out". I would not be surprised if there were people just mailing today. Some people are just procrastinators, and if the law in their state says that as long as it's postmarked by election day it's okay, then they'll wait until election day to mail it.

Oh, and since some of you will want to see how fucked up Cali’s doing in the propositions and measures here’s the general gist with 61% of the vote being tallied.
  • Prop 14 (Authorizes $5.5 billion state bonds for stem cell and other medical research): YES
  • Prop 15 (Taxes properties based on current market value rather than purchase price and increases property taxes on commercial properties for funding to local governments and schools): NO
  • Prop 16 (Repeals a constitutional provision that made it unlawful for California's state and local governments to discriminate against or grant preferential treatment to people based on race, ethnicity, national origin or sex): NO
  • Prop 17 (Restores voting rights upon completion of prison term): YES
  • Prop 18 (Permits 17-year-olds who will be 18 at the time of the next general election to vote in primary elections and special elections.): NO
  • Prop 19 (Allows homeowners over 55, disabled, or wildfire/disaster victims to transfer primary residence’s tax base to replacement residence, changes taxation of family-property transfers and establishes fire protection services fund): YES
  • Prop 20 (Adds crimes to the list of violent felonies with restricted early parole; recategorizes certain types of theft and fraud crimes as chargeable as misdemeanors or felonies and requires DNA collection for certain misdemeanors): NO
  • Prop 21 (Allows local governments to establish rent control on residential properties over 15 years old.): NO
  • Prop 22 (Classifies app-based drivers as independent contractors and not employees): YES
  • Prop 23 (Requires chronic dialysis clinics to have an on-site physician, report data on dialysis-related infections and obtain consent from the state health department before closing a clinic. They may not discriminate against patients based on the source of payment for care): NO
  • Prop 24 (Allows consumers to prevent businesses from sharing personal information, correct inaccurate personal information and limit businesses’ use of sensitive personal information including precise geolocation, race, ethnicity and health information): YES
  • Prop 25 (Upholds legislation replacing cash bail with risk assessments for detained suspects awaiting trials): NO
Some of the results are what one would expect Cali to pass, but I’m surprised that Prop 25 failed.

AZ remains my biggest surprise. I guess Maricopa/Tucson has finally grown enough to outweigh the rest of teh state. Razorfist's inevitable spergout is sure to be entertaining.

He's so reassuring too. I unironically believe all the shit he says even though I know I should be more skeptical
AZ was always going to be WAY closer than fisted sister claimed, but it's definitely looking very suspicious right now. They've pretty much frozen election day ballot counting, especially in redder counties, where Trump had been gaining nearly 2:1 in votes on Biden.
Razor is still a moron, but that doesn't mean there's nothing outright fraudulent going on.
