Here's my take as a non-American.
I hope Joe Biden wins. I believe nothing will actually change if he does. It's two old men who clearly have dementia facing each other. But the reason I hope Joe Biden wins?
On internet forums I frequent of my own country, much like as if we were Iraqis with oil, Americans invade every positive thing our government does with "WISH I LIVED IN A COUNTRY LIKE THIS INSTEAD OF UNDER ORANGE MAN".
I'm so fucking sick of it! I'm sick of these yanks always bring up Drumpf bad. As someone from a European state, our country isn't perfect. Certainly not as fucked as the US but it's not great with our low-level corruption. Americans see videos of our police force interacting humorously with the population and always chime in with "HURR DURR IF THIS WAS AMERICA HE WOULD'VE BEEN SHOT, WISH I COULD LIVE HERE". And beyond that, think because their country is facing internal turmoil, they CAN live here! The fucking audacity, uprooting your life in a first world country to another first world country and crying like you're a poor starving refugee from a war torn state.
Unfortunately to clarify I have to powerlevel. I'm from Ireland. If at the very least your Grandmother was born in Ireland, you can very easily become an Irish citizen. But I see places like /r/ireland, which honestly was a bastion of good fun, Irish memes and serious discussion about Irish politics has devolved into shit about America being bad, and hosts Americans wondering how they can be let into their "ancestral homeland" despite their closest connection being their great-great-great-great Grandfather who might have been an O'Sullivan from Galway.
I'm incredibly drunk as I type this but all I want you yanks to know. I fucking hate your country. I hate how your culture has spread across my country which had its culture already decimated by the British. Fuck you.
