In his live stream Barnes mentioned something about Republican observers in Georgia being told last night that would there be no more counting and they could go home for the night and then once they were gone the midnight counting of altanta votes started up.

Has anybody else here heard anything about that. I do think Georgia and NC are being a bit neglected.

You'd get the new two party system: what we currently call the moderate left and what we call the hard left aka commies. "Anyone to the left of Bernie is right" is not a phase I wanted to hear but I cannot unhear it and keep hearing it in isolated circles. Purge the pinkos.

The isotope thing sounds highly dubious to me, the concept appears very possible, but I can't find any information saying it was really implemented this election.

Someone would have complained about "radioactive ballots" by now, right? Don't mind the fact that an isotope is a broad category that's not exclusively highly radioactive.

Getting rid of the electoral college would mean creating a new amendment and having is not only be ratified by Congress, but by state legislatures. There’s no way that’s happening. That is a pipe dream.

On the other hand, they could get rid of winner takes all for electoral votes and end up ending their automatic wins of CA and NY. I would be in favor of that.

Man, everyone saying a Biden presidency would be hamstrung or reigned in by a Republican Senate have literally not been paying attention. Why do you think Trump has been dropping those EOs like nukes all over the place? Because the SC decided in August that EOs in practical terms are laws. We are gonna see some truly neoliberal/neoconservative wet dream garbage flying off that desk. Cut it out with the cope already on that. You're sounding like a bunch of Ben Shapiros.

It seems sensible to at least split up the votes of CA and NY in some way, since the cities render massive swathes of land irrelevant which is precisely what the EC is meant to prevent.
Of course you'd probably need to go through the cities to implement such a change at the state level wouldn't you?

I didn't pay much attention in history class in high school, is there a reason WHY electoral votes aren't distributed by a % of the state's popular vote? Ya know, like, other than it taking a bunch of free votes away from the democrats.

If the state legislature get enough federal gibs they'll cave in, c'mon you really think that the Republican Party isn't part of the swamp? Half of them are RINOS anyways.

EOs have limitations. You cannot CREATE law with them, only change how you handle EXISTING law.

One possible thing to consider is that to a degree, the media NEEDS Trump. They're a parasite that latches on to his every word and warps it to feed their cycle. In a way, Trump is the best thing that could've happened to them. What the fuck are they planning to do when he's gone, and they can't fill the airwaves with 24 hour TDS? If Biden wins, the media will be forced to pivot... somehow... in an environment where trust in them is at an all-time low and people are paying more and more attention to online sources. Without Trump outrage, they'll have to find SOME new way to get clicks, or they'll continue to decay.
