It’s mostly people calling each other faggots. One guy got drunk and started doomposting and admitted to thinking about suicide and the same 3-4 guys were joking around and telling him to either kill himself or go out and shoot the rioters. That thread really shows how cow like some of the members here are.
Then everyone's opinion on /fit/ black women got solicited and the thread never recovered as far as I can tell.

To provide a counter to the doomposting here, I do think most people are 'clued in' to a greater level than assumed by the doomers. Not to any sort of precise degree, but more a general sense of what is or isn't right.

And one thing above all else is permutating that. This is taking too long, something's not right with the results. Its too close, and people look a little closer. Only a little. But what is the first thing they'll find? Lefties mocking the idea of voter fraud. Its everywhere.

But... if there is nothing wrong, why is it taking so long?

Ironically, the far left sneering at the idea is going to lead more people towards the idea.

Um hello State Department??? I would like to talk to Tennessee

I am frightened by my neighbors to the immediate north and west

Do people seriously think that Donald Trump, a man who spent months prior to this warning about potential election fraud, has not put in place at least several plans for this exact circumstance? That he was "paranoid" about election fraud, yet just naive enough to think the turnout would be enough to overcome the fraud?

I believe Trump was expecting something like this for quite a while now, and was just waiting for the Democrats to get enough rope to hang themselves with it. And they have, in spades.

Do you know where you are, faggot? I would dox you just for shit and giggles if it would provide us Kiwis something to laugh about.

This is whyy, short of the extreme partisans on either side, its very very quiet. The middle ground on both sides think this smells, even the left who want the win don't like it because its clearly not a win.
ive even seen some less radical further left types say very little if anything about this, i think they have a out of the frying pan feeling, like one person they consider a tyrant is out only to realize that theyre probably not on the side of populist dissent and that theres much much more sinister shit in the background than a flailing idiot being president and having policies they dont like or saying things they consdier mean.

Biden Derangement Syndrome is so pathetic.
It wasn’t Biden that got him like that, just that it was the final nail in the coffin for him. He thought America fell long before this election.

Did they really start discussing attractive black girls? I left a little bit after the already discussed slapfight.

The calm before the storm. I am skeptical that Trump's team has anything big. A whole lot of smoke, but proving there is a fire will be an uphill battle. So that side is mostly quiet.

On the other side, they are quiet because this is NOT how it was supposed to go. It was supposed to be a landslide, not s squeaker in which they didn't gain the senate and the house is taking hits. And somebody dropped those votes in Wisconsin and Michigan too obviously, too blatantly.

a thought that occurred to me earlier, you know who is also suspiciously quiet? ever other country, even the ones where their leaders trip over themselves to lecture the US or comment what a bad president trump is, but even that stopped. you'd assume they would put out their usual drivel of passive aggressive statements how "trump needs to accept the vote of the american people" and other shit the second biden gains a lead or there's some uncertainty, but for some reason everyone pressed pause on their TDS.

which either means they don't want to jinx it (since a biden potus means more globohomo), possibly being in on it (unlikely, but still) or even they are outright taken aback how blatant this whole shitshow is. how would you go on, possibly dealing with a outright illegitimate us government? and maybe they start clenching their asses, because if it can happen in the US, the "leader of the free world", who knows what kind of shit will trickle down from that in the end?

I'm with @heathercho on this one that the dem might have cheated out a win because orange man bad, but lost everywhere else.

This is the Streisand Effect in action: The more the calls of "nothing to see, it's all fine" go out, more and more people turn their heads to see what exactly that "nothing" is. The longer this goes on, the worse it is for Biden.

I got heated, sure, but only because I invested literally hours writing responses in a discussion with someone who has different perspective than me only to have the come in and claim that we don’t make an effort to engage different perspectives.

You’re describing a fantasy scenario here where people “don’t tolerate dissent” despite the fact that not only was your dissent tolerated but it was entertained for fucking months.

“Not tolerating dissent” is when the majority of replies are telling you to fuck off, or when attacks are overwhelmingly personal, or when you get banned from the thread or harassed elsewhere on the site. If this has happened as the majority of your interactions, then we can talk, but what I have seen is mostly people engaging you on the merits of your arguments.

“People don’t like being wrong” is hardly a fresh take and it definitely doesn’t mean that this place is an insidious hivemind with an Orwellian desire to crush the wrongthink.

What you’re describing as “not tolerating dissent” is, conveniently, identical to bunch of people tolerating your dissent but caring enough to tell your wrong, often with pages of lively conversation.

I just want you to take a step back and see the irony.
I think you're missing the point. What makes this thread an echo chamber is not that dissenting opinion is ignored or shut down, but that it is clearly viewed as an unwanted inconvenience; a fact made obvious by the absurd degree of acrimony even the slightest disagreement invariably attracts here. Perhaps this doesn't meet the strictness of your definition, but in my book, if people would rather just have their own beliefs reinforced, then they're partaking in an echo chamber, and the fact that even the mere suggestion that this is the case can provoke such a reaction here should be entirely illustrative of my point.

Personally, I find this point of contention to be largely tedious, and would rather discuss something of more substance, such as the validity of the current claims going around about voter fraud, or Trump's various statements on the subject. I've been trying to find some hard evidence to back up the claims, but so far all I've come across is hearsay. Would you happen to know of anything more concrete?

Things like court injunctions on ballot watching should have been primed to be filed at first sight of people getting kicked out on the day of the election, not two days later when it was too late for MI.
I don't get this notion that there is some retroactive deadline for recount calls and taking things to court. There certainly wasn't for Al Gore.

Is Biden even ahead in PA right now? He wasn't last I checked, but well you know. Things just magically happen now.
They are about to dump 90k from Philidelphia and god knows how many more from other places. I have no idea if the court order for stopping the mail ballot counting is even being enforced.
