I'm not so sure of that, in a shared narrative regard at least. They managed to create the belief in a vast white supremacist movement where there is none, a genocidal, gay hating racist president narrative where there was none, and a mysticism around unfalsifiable nonsense like white privilege and patriarchy. 1. Rural themed comedies/shows tend to be super popular and networks/studios will NOT want the "wrong shows" be popular.

2. Hollywood is run by hacks and it's a longstanding trope in Hollywood that all shows about the rural community boil down to the following tropes:

A. Rural America is morally pure and wholesome and a license to print money for people looking for that sort of TV, even when you insert liberal propaganda into it (see how Doctor Quinn Medicine Woman was a huge big titted hit for CBS)

B. So, a judge denied Trump's lawsuit in Michigan. Ok. Donald Trump needs to either find a judge who would take the case, or Trump needs to appeal to the SCOTUS. I honestly believe that Trump needs to go to the SCOTUS because they are above the local judges. I mean, Detroit has a lot of problems, and I don't know if the judge is trying to avoid another riot or what. But I honestly believe that the judge was paid by George Soros.
