jfc how young is everyone here? This happened when Gore claimed to have won Florida and Bush successfully challenged it court and despite CNN and the MSM crowning Gore President SCOTUS ruled otherwise.

There is fraud. It's the Democratic MO. Anyone who's been around for a few elections knows that.
An awful lot are zoomer kekfugees.

I don’t think they’re young, they just truly believe that nothing will happen or change.

if people seriously think politics will magically "become boring again" with a supposed biden win and that we're about to see a "return to decency", they're about to be sorely mistaken...
I anticipate a return to happy ignorance.

Normies: "Ah, a Democrat is POTUS now! Let me go back to my Marvel movies while I don't acknowledge Biden sending drones to bomb more brown kids! Lalalala can't hear you! As long as a Democrat is president, then everything is a-ok!"

Is there a romanticization of past leaders? It seems like most see them as Uber racist fascists who were all evil.
The narrative shifts when the Party deems it necessary. For example, Abraham Lincoln was long seen as an undisputed titan of virtue that all Americans should aspire to - right up until this past summer when a bunch Rez Rats started saying he was evil because he allowed the execution of a bunch of convicted Native American war criminals. And all the urban soymensch meekly went along with it.

Newsmax was founded by Trump’s friend Christopher Ruddy.
Since 1996, Ruddy has been Media Fellow at the Hoover Institution on War, Revolution and Peace at Stanford University. Ruddy serves on the board of directors of the Financial Publishers Association (FIPA), an industry trade group whose goal is "to share knowledge of best business practices to help our members' publications grow and prosper, while empowering readers with unbiased, independent information".

He is a member of the International Council, chaired by Henry Kissinger, at the CSIS, a bipartisan Washington, D.C., think tank focused on national security and foreign affairs. Ruddy also served as a representative on the U.S. delegation headed by Senators Joseph Lieberman and Lindsey Graham to the NATO 44th Munich Security Conference.
ah yes... what a wonderful.... er.... "friend"

"We would've had a return to decency if it wasn't for those fucking Trumpists and their fascist, racist president" - President Harris, 2024

Shocking if false.

So what will you do then? That’s the thing about doomposting, if it’s all so hopeless, the only options are going pro gamer and killing people or killing yourself.
I'll enjoy my yearly six weeks payed vacation and my universal healthcare, hand in my retirement papers in 5 years and just won't give a fuck anymore.
I'll enjoy my nieces and nephews and wait for the first grandchildren to arrive.
And someday I'll gonna take a dump on my neighbors lawn because this asshole always put his trash cans on my lawn.

If it’s going to get as bad as you think, will you actually be able to enjoy those? And what future will those kids have?

I remember the 2000 Election vividly. It was the last General Election to happen before I was able to vote. And yes, it was batshit crazy ... Though not as batshit crazy as 2020.

This is also why I am not dooming about Trump's lawsuits. I don't think they're a slam-dunk, don't get me wrong; he has a LOT of work cut out for him. But, for me, a huge success would be successfully exposing voter fraud in at least one state. If that happens, then the gig is up-- Republican AND (more importantly) Independent voters will have had their eyes opened, and something of this scale will not fly again anytime soon. I believe that even the Democrats know the stakes here, so they are cashing it all in right now to make a Biden Presidency happen.

For me, the ultimate goal is not about Trump at all; Trump is just one man. The goal should be much bigger than that. We need to secure our democratic process from being abused like this again. If fraud can be proven anywhere without a shadow of a doubt, then that will mobilize GOP voters to force the GOP into a voter reform platform in the upcoming years. And guess what? It will be a winning platform.

Retreat inland. Rural conservative California has been informally known as the State of Jefferson since 1946. Two weeks ago I saw the headline “State of Jefferson Revolts” in the paper, referring to small businesses and whole towns operating in defiance of the lockdown. They are scattered, but entirely conservative municipalities do exist, even in California.
