I always knew the government was corrupt, but I don’t think I really had any idea how deep it went until Trump.
We've always accepted a little corruption (and still do) from politicians. Half of them are millionaires despite many of them having no job and not born into wealth. We accept the occassional tit-for-tat or the $500K book advance for something they have an intern shit out in a week (cough Cuomo cough).

But we've reached a level of not just insanity, but outright openness that has gotten so crazy Alex Jones might retire soon due to dealing with it all.

Wait, you mean Tracy's pictures doing 3 inch long lines of nose powder with LaDaunte during her last vacation is not ok?
And the pictures of Jack lying in his own vomit in front of a bar could have consequences?
Who'd have thought?

really depends on your employer I guess

Honestly anyone who believes this is normal must be the happiest person ever because they have got to be the simplest thinker on earth. . This is way more than election fraud, people should be very concerned about this even if their guy ”won”. Prepare for them to be giving the signal and more funding to BLM/Antita when Trump doesnt concede. This whole thing gives me chills. There is a huge monster festering underneath all of this and I think the election is just the tip of the iceberg.

After locking the article on Hunter Biden declaring the New York Post article a conspiracy theory, this is unsurprising.
I already knew there was media bias before Trump, but Trump being president exposed media bias so much that it’s impossible not to see. It’s depressing, but I’m also grateful for it.

No matter the real outcome of all this, we are in tough times right now, but tough times can create stronger people. I think the US has had things fairly easy for quite a while (at least domestically compared to other countries). If people can get through Communist regimes, economic depressions, and world wars, we can get through this. That said, even in bad times, there’s always good there, you just have to look for it and appreciate it. It’s corny, but I think there should always be perspective on things. No matter the outcome, make sure to beat the odds and gain as many skills as possible to survive. Getting too down on things is not the way to go and I hope everyone here, no matter their political leanings, is taking care of themselves. Go outside, do hobbies, and spend time with those you love.

I'm curious about the votes going to court, i am however annoyed with this defeatist attitude everyone's displaying. Just be glad we had the greatest meme president in u.s. history. We'll never get another trump in a lifetime.
Its not defeatism, so much as reeling from a series of blows that people knew were coming but were unpleasant to take. Ironically, I'd say the mainstream media took the worst time to announce their crowning of Biden. The weekend gives plenty of opportunities to rest in the corner and get ready for round 2, and they don't really -have- a follow through to knock anyone out while they rest... In fact, they basically blew their biggest shot today. Hence why Kushner is trying to convince trump to concede, if he doesn't now he never will.

There is a certain amount of corruption required to make the political system work. Hidden behind a friendly veneer. The problem is that Washington has allowed this corruption to grow and be more open rather than the quiet backroom deals it should be.

Ironically, I have an uncle that looks exactly like Joe Pantoliano.

He's the smartest man in the world: zero social media presence. I should be like him.

Then again, Facebook may make that decision for me soon (I have a Twitter and Instagram but never use them.)
