To be fair, the story supposedly took place in the 1950's or early 1960's and a lot of gang nicknames are often meant to be ironic or joking, especially back then.

Still, I'm gonna chalk that one up to Biden being senile.

At that point, Trump's far more likely to go "Screw your optics, I'm going in!" with the Insurrection Act in that kind of scenario and ramp up the "anarchist jurisdiction" EO's with federalizing state and city cops via emergency powers

To be fair europe's been searching for a vaccine hardcore for a while because the second wave's been adding pressure on us and as @Stoneheart pointed out we've had signs of this coming for weeks. So the anouncement more likely has to do with UK's internal politics really needing hope as the second wave's putting a strain on them than it has to do with Trump.

Still I won't be calling it till the fat lady sings, and by the fat lady I mean Merkel. I may hate her but I know damn well if there's 1 country that's gonna be corroborating the vaccine when it's done that's gona be Germany (they got the labs to actually mass manufacture it so if anyone in the EU got it, no matter who, they're getting dibs on that shit) and she's gonna be using it for propaganda hardcore so really that's the only trustworthy source on that front.

At my most pessimistic, I think they might try to force mandatory ID on those who take the vaccine. Obviously, people would resist this. Instead of cracking down on those people, the government will just say, "They won't take the vaccine so we have to keep everything closed!"

I don't know. I just don't see any other way for the lockdowns to be maintained if this is indeed the plan.

I think Rudy has the goods; if Biden's win were above board, then Barr, Cocaine Mitch, Kevin McCarthy, the Federal Election Commissioner, John James, and the AG of Utah wouldn't be entering the fray. They'd stab Trump in the back if they knew he was toast.

Republicans owe AOC and the other listmakers a debt of gratitude. If the Democrats were planning a purge of Trump supporters, and they absolutely were, her coming out and announcing now has probably put a stop to that.

Biden is pushing the 'come together as a country' narrative. He can't combine that with support for a purge. Now like his ex-boss Obama he'll probably make some coded comment to try to get the IRS to go after his political enemies. There will be some prosecutions for 'corruption' like what is still happening to Michael Flynn and will go on until he offs himself in return for them sparing his family. However, that was basically priced in to any Democrat administration. What's not going to happen is a full-on De Trumpification program.

2016 was a wild election, and if 2020's was honest, Trump would cruise into a boring victory against a boring, awful candidate, but with all the fraud and political-thriller level stuff, shit's crazy again.
