He wasn't expected to win, they were sure that Hillary would make the 270 in a landslide. They were so far up their own asses that the didn't even wasted a thought about the fact that Hillary is one of the most reviled people in the USA.
Think of Michael Moore what you want but he had a good point about Trump/Hillary back in 2016.
If you want a picture of the future, imagine a long haul trucker stomping on the politican's face, forever.

I stayed away from the thread for a few days because everything pointed to Biden getting away with it and I'm a baby who can't handle losing, but overnight I feel that the narrative has shifted in my country. Not long ago the media was almost celebrating the Biden win, but now they seem to be talking about the lawsuits and the possibility of something changing the results more often than not, they seem quite worried.

Inb4 Trump is a Soros plant. /sneed
You're 4 years too late for that assertion.

During my state's primary back in June, I was sent THREE ballots (and no, I did not request them):

One to my parents' house, with my maiden name.

One to my current house with my maiden name.

One to my current house with my married name.

It was at that moment that I felt a sense of unease about this election with the mail-in ballots.

Was it the Dems only that did mass mail ballots or the Reps were sending them too?

No it isn't. None of these states with GOP control of both chambers of the legislature are certifying shit until the lolsuits are resolved

They didnt in 2000
The guidelines for when to submit are well... basically suggestions. the legislature sets the deadline, and can change it whenever they please. Now, they isn't to say they WILL, just to say those aren't technically hard deadlines.

Pretty sure if they certify their electors and shit hits the fan, they can replace them. They've replaced faithless electors before the deadline, they can clearly do it here, too.

Bush v Gore was decided much later than November 23rd, wasn't it?

I mentioned it many pages back but the electors are required by law to meet on December 14th to cast their votes for the Presidency, Bush v Gore was decided on December 12th.

They want to make it all-but-illegal to not take them as such.

After all, they identify as authorities and experts.
Sucks for them. I’m a trans-expert in political science, physics, and chemistry. In fact, I’m one of the anonymous sources that CNN uses. Don’t question me though, I’m an expert.

The fact that by the very act of not cucking like a bitch, he got the left and the media to act the fool they are and drop the mask would be his eternal achievement, even if he eventually flames out. That and also getting the Rs to not act like a whipped bitch for once.

I think you underestimate the damage he has done alone by simply planting himself in the way of all these shenanigans. I expect a Biden/Harris presidency to face an extremely hostile Senate moving forward, and a fractured House majority that probably would do more infighting than getting anything done.
I don't know if this risks @Cristobal’s Colon giving me a clock, but I'm glad the Republicans got some balls this time. Time will tell if they use it, but like others here, I'd thought they'd crumble by now.

The head Postman has come for the local USPS branches that backdated ballots.

Turns out screaming "He's ALT-RIIIGHT LIIIAAAAAAR" on Twitter does not, in fact, make Project Veritas videos magically go away.

Normally I would distrust this, but after seeing the past 4 years, I can 100 percent believe a liberal would assault someone for mild disagreement.
One of my friend's husbands, who is an Iraq War Veteran with ongoing back pain, was kicked out of one of his gaming social circles because it got political one night and this chick literally lunged at him and choked him for voicing his opinion. This happened before Trump even ran for POTUS.

It's great how he was the one who got kicked out of that group ...

I met that crazy chick once at a party years and years ago. She was fat, single, in her late 30's, her voice was annoying, and she was doing tarot card readings for people. lol. The stereotype, man.

As I have mentioned before, the left is fully aware to how powerful organizing is, and will do anything they can up to and including firebombing things, to keep the right from doing it.

There's a reason the glowys infest every single righty group trying to entrap them, while no such effort exists to deal with Antifa.
If you think this is bad, imagine how fucked it would be if shit really did hit the fan with leftist mobs organizing in the streets with the full support of Twitter. There is a reason that Twitter and Obunga get along so swell - they and other tech companies aided his toppling of ME governments during the "arab spring" by facilitating rapid and effective organization of the people running the coup. They were able to mobilize to any area they needed to be and that was a significant factor in how quickly they were able to overtake the governments in their countries. And that was when Twitter was still young enough to be considered in its infancy, just think about the kind of shit they're capable of now that they've had over a decade of dark money flowing to them to hone their craft.

They can't. AOC started an enemies list. CNN has told them flat out that they'll ruin them if they dare defy the narrative. And Georiga has two runoffs that would give the left the senate if they steal them, too, all headed up by the glorious bucktoothed Sheboon who would be Kween. (And, I will point out, still hasn't conceded her election loss years later, because they PROMISED her the fix was in.)

The fucking idiots on the left don't realize they've gotten the right up against a cliff and even a rat will fight back when the alternative is that severe.

And this is why gyms are good when they aren't locked down. No crazy fat people there.

Bingo. Trump represents the ultimate American dream: his family built up multiple successful businesses & that wealth led him to run & win the highest office of the land without being a career politician. He’s a threat to that group because that story can inspire people that they can do the same & make a government for the people so to speak. It’s the same reason people like Bernie...these people hate them because they inspire a movement where they are not the kings & queens anymore.

Trump, more than anyone else, upset the easy, predictable process through which Presidential candidates have been selected. Usually a party's candidates are selected years in advance. They may test the candidate out somewhere like Davos to see how they play with the elites. Then they have them give a speech at a convention 2-4 years before they actually run, which establishes them as the "up-and-coming new voice of the party." When that doesn't happen, the candidate has at least been a successful party member for years, usually a governor or senator. Coming in from outside the selection pipeline, without party pre-approval, upended all their expectations. Psychologically, the shock was probably equivalent to seeing your house burned down, or being abducted by aliens and probed relentlessly for four years.

So these election certification dates are more of a formality then? It sounds that way if they can be replaced afterwards anyway, which makes me wonder what the point is.
If they miss the deadline, what's the Biden campaign gonna do, sue them? They can ask a judge for a write of mandamus, but would it be granted with pending litigation over that exact issue? "I know they're arguing this down the hall, but can you just give us an order that we win?"
