Sorry I have to powerlevel a little, but as someone who has actually been in a psych ward I think these people are fucking idiots. These are normal words and have valid use in our day-to-day lives. The idiots who encourage this thought policing are making me feel more stigmatized that regular people using normal words ever will. This type of preferential treatment creates more division and resentment rather than lessening it. How's about doing something about mental health instead of whining over what words people use? Nah, that would too logical and useful for these types!

Yes, they think words replace legitimate action. They police people for 'wrong think' and 'ouch word' rather than trying to actively do anything for the community, which is actually probably for the best seeing as they are deranged manic retards who would probably do more harm than good.
They really need to repeat 'sticks and stones may break my bones but words will never hurt me' as a mantra.

Words that are used to designate certain things in reality suddenly cannot be used because hurt feelings is one of the worts kinds of things anyone can buy into. Just because it used to designate a negative thing it doesn't mean that it has to be stopped. Or suddenly you cannot say someone is a cretin when they are in fact affected by cretinism?
Even when i was studying at college one teacher made a concious effort to decondition the class on their PC bullshit about stereotypes and the use of "mean words" by making us do a work on HIV. In a class of 35 people i was the only one that was willing enough to say that the risk groups of HIV are gays, junkies and whores while everyone eyed me like they were the morality police.

On this topic i don't know why Legend of Whorra gets constantly brought up tbh.
It was a bad show and it was shoehorned in the last episode because the people doing the show knew that they were getting shitcanned.
But to make long story short, fuck representation. The fact that inmense idiots like these look for something superficial and general rather than something with a deeper meaning in the characters should say a lot about them.

The main victims of AIDS were people in shit hole countries in southern Africa where people didn't have access to decent hospitals, including small children. Over 1/4 of Swaziland was infected. Saying something along the lines of "well they're the stinky poors so they deserved it" just makes you sound like a sociopath.

It's not about victims, but risk groups. AKA, the people that have higher risk of getting infected because of genetical factors, the ir age or habits they have.
Also, you better not bring up that when AIDS was discovered, gays were warned and they brushed it off and kept having unprotected sex. Later when it became an epidemic in the gay community they blamed the government for doing nothing to fight it.
