There’s currently a bit of a firestorm on Twitter over Target dropping a bestseller at the behest of a single troon. I’d imagine that the troon has already been discussed on KF somewhere (and there’s not a chainsaw big enough to feminize that chin).

Below’s one of many tweets on the matter. (It came along late in the game, but has all the relevant screenshots in one tweet.)

There‘s already been a lot of high profile pushback from the likes of Jesse Singal, Britt Hume, James Lindsay, Bari Weiss etc.

I gotchu fam. I'm not sure if they merit an entire thread, since they are mostly little sideshows and a lot of them flounce away when they figure out women are not interested. Reminds me of that time the Tracer butt pose was dropped from Overwatch because one person online complained. Troons having this much power is detrimental in the long term.

The amazon reviews on this book are funny. The detractors just yell book bad! false information! and the good reviews don't even like wholesale accept it or go on about trans people bad. They literally just say it's a nuanced take on an issue that's becoming concerningly hard to discuss and makes you think. The reviews are basically the trans debate in a nutshell. One side concerned, presenting facts, looking at it critically, and being concerned about the medical ethics. The other side just screeches about how the people not wholesale accepting this bullshit are bad.

Banning books only ever brings more attention to the book. Trying to censor anyone with differing opinions is a tactic only used by those who are desperate to exert mass control and it never goes well. People think they're pruning the world and turning it into an echo chamber but this kind of thing really turns more people against you because while they may not speak up about it, they notice.

I don't understand why everyone is worried about FtMs when MtF 'people' out-number them. It's always "OUR DAUGHTERS", etc... They did this with rock and roll music "seducing our daughters"

it's weird and sorta dumb... let the dumb-ass kids ruin themselves, it is Darwinism.

People are worried because in the past decade there's been an exponential increase in particularly young girls presenting to clinics with gender dysphoria, and because of the craze said clinics are pushing irreversible, experimental "treatments" on a population whom older follow up studies suggested that without intervention 80%~ of would overcome dysphoria post-puberty (I would put money on that number being higher today). Many of these girls also have other comorbidities (and are therefore otherwise vulnerable) like autism spectrum disorders, eating disorders, etc. Or they're just not straight.

Last time I checked "rock and roll music" didn't sterilise vulnerable teenage girls or leave them with a lifetime of unpredictable side effects including but not limited to osteoporosis, heightened cancer risk and heightened risk of heart disease (FTM hormone replacement is much more damaging than MTF hormone replacement, and much more irreversible, plus FTMs are more likely to undergo surgical intervention with top surgery). Your last statement is dumb as shit, of course parents are worried about their kid daughters wanting to mutilate their bodies in higher numbers than ever before and the medical establishment jumping to enable them.

Because they're being lied to and groomed. It's not like they actually know what the horse piss will do to them. Anyone can walk into a clinic and walk out with pills to sterilize you in under 5 minutes. There are 2-3 year olds that are put on hormone blockers as well, Jazz Jennings is a good example. He was a faggot that was forced to transition from a young age. These clinics don't even tell people the risks associated with these treatments, You can watch the JRE interview with Shrier for more information.

This used to be true, but not anymore. In the study here, they have found that there has been a hugely disproportionate number of girls now seeking treatment for gender dysphoria.

And since girls have always been the frontrunners in social contagions, I think it's fair for people to be wringing their hands over this spike.
