With the newfound rise in conservative reactionism and leftist infighting, the oligarchs then restored their power by allowing token levels of "radicals" into the new party, the Liberal Fusionistas, which everyone promptly assumed would implode again, due to the fact that the two factions making it had a history of hating each other and no reason to stay together other, of course, than power:

But what people couldn't predict is that the Liberal Fusionistas would manage to ensure their power, through less than legal means, and soon after the Oligarchs would quite rapidly rebuild the alliance with the right wing and shitcan the radicals because as we now all know, the ancoms are the first to get the bullet when the revolution ends. Not that it mattered since most of the ancoms that had any power just jumped ship and joined the, heh, "moderates" at the first chance they got:

And Sagasta solidified his power by simply abandoning everything he had promised he'd do. This of course was seen by most as an absolutely stupid move. The right wing had just started having reactionary populism again, there was no way they'd ever sacrifice that to ally with such a heinous man. Specially not when that would mean reforging alliances with the oligarchs, the very thing that ended the right wing in the first place.

If Biden succeeds don't expect the left to win. The Dems will just immediately start the process of erradicating the populist left and "rebuilding bridges" with the RINOs. He had tons of lawsuits against counties to stop counties from counting late ballots, and they’re all getting thrown out because it doesn’t matter anymore. The big misconduct cases seem to be going for now.

Yeah but it would still require the state legislature actually to enact it. By the time you got all this done COVID would be over anyway. Imagine getting Congress to do shit, then for 50 different states to follow their edicts, assuming at least 12 of them wouldn't drag it out in lawsuits challenging it (even if the general principle the feds can do this is already decided).

Ya know what I noticed...
