What is soo special about high school or even college relationships??? 4-8 years of smoking a bowl, casual sex, and drunk one night stands = "emotional development?"
I don't think Romeo + Juliet laws exist because of "power imbalances" or "emotional development." I think they exist because sex with people one's own age is relatively common (under age 30) and teenage sex occurs so regularly that it would unjust to prosecute all people.
I also want to add that Arizona's Romeo + Juliet loophole states:
So effectively the real age of consent is 15 in this state.
When you get over the taboo and look at the data, you realize that basically no one thinks AOC should be 16 or 18.
As I said, AOC isn't just about sex. It effects how we view children vs adults (14-18 are adults > child) which is why so many times DAs try to charge high schoolers as adults.
It effects the advice we give to pre-teens and teens.
Did you watch the video in this link?
I see everyone ignored this post.
Do you acknowledge that this women would have benefited from AOC at 10 or 12 because instead of viewing older men as prevents who are sexually hurrahing her, she could have viewed them as potential husbands. (which would have been the historical norm)
Huge change in mentality.
You're being replaced by foreigners in your own nation, boomer, including from the Philippines. And you cannot even say, "makes me wonder what retarded part of the Philippines you're in just so I can find it on a map and laugh" in your own nation without being fired from your job. You're pathetic and you've lost your own nation. But please keep attacking ,e
