Why is everyone suddenly being so negative? I am not sure what happened in the last few hours but I thought the republicans in Michigan not giving in was a good thing?

Because the powers that be have gotten away with too much already with impunity, and even if Trump somehow pulls the biggest Hail Mary in history, there is absolutely no guarantee we will see the culprits punished never mind prevented from manipulating another election.

If PA looks like it's going to flip because the mail-in ballots counted with no Republican observers are ruled illegal and dropped from a recount, the other states will flip too even if it takes the Insurrection Act to get those states to recount only legal ballots. You can see that Trump has put everything in place for this possibility.

Conversely, if the Trump campaign loses in PA and can't rely on the SCOTUS to flip the case their way then Biden is POTUS.

If Rudy wins the PA case I would imagine that the dems would immediately appeal it. That's not a bad thing. It would mean for the first time they will have the hill to climb. I'm not too hopeful though that the court will side with Trump though and not because Trumps case is weaker.

I agree though that if the case is ruled in Trumps favour and the dems do nothing that Trump pretty much can just start rolling back all the swing states.

I think this pretty much makes sure that nothing has been certified yet? Why remove them now if it was already a done, irreversible thing?

Cuz doomers gonna doom.

No but for real if even I am feeling optimistic about it ya lot need to take a chill pill or go do something you like.

I dunno, go get a happy puzzle game or just go ahead and fap your brains out for all I care, but do something. This shit's looking good right now.
It’s ok to have the emotions that are equivalent to the temporary dopamine you feel when gambling... Then killing yourself.

Because its a massive uphill battle considering the vote count and the number of states that need to flip.

It's really not a large number, looking at the details

Biden needs to lose 10,000, Trump get 10,000 in Wisconsin

7,000 and 7,000 in Georgia

40,000 and 40,000 in Pennsylvania

About 120,000 votes out of a combined 15 million cast in those three states, about 0.8%

That is why they are so adamant no real recount or audit or recanvass

Just going by the historical rejection rate of mail in ballots (3-4%), instead of this super secure super competent election where its 0.1%-0.3%...

But with what basis? dont they know that they refusing recounts and legit audits make everything looks more fishy? just look at all the lawsuits, is a titanic battle from the Democrats to not allow the checking of votes they want the fraud to pass and they are making the entire process as painful and annoying as possible even when they are making horrible mistakes in the process not noticing that they are helping Trump

Is like Trump want them to fight like Berserk to shit their own case and when it reach SCOTUS even they are not going to deny that everything reeks, looks, feel and taste like something is wrong

Judging by their lawyer's prowess so far I'm guessing on this basis:

They'll appeal it on the grounds that the Trump campaign is tossing the ballots of millions of brave women and persons of color who voted for Biden.

Just like they still claim millions of black men were denied the right to vote in 2000.

I mean it's complete bullshit, but that's what they'll argue.

Incidentally one of the darkly comic bits of the PA trial audio is when some Democrat lackey told a very emotional tale of how some woman had to travel 'in the rain' to cure her ballot and now the Republicans want to take it away from her. The problem with that is that the PA state legislature amici curiae points out ballot curing is illegal. And even if it weren't allowing voters in Democrat-heavy district to cure whole those in Republican-heavy ones cannot is a violation of the Equal Protection Clause.

And also there's the fact that with mail-in ballots the presumption is that they are false. Only if observers representing all candidates are there to see the outer envelope removed can the inner ballot, which is anonymous, be counted. If they've binned the outer envelopes then there's no way to tell if the ballots came from registered voters.

It's all emotional appeals and accusations of racism when the reality is that they blatantly broke the law.

Trust me we'll see #NoBallotsAreIllegal trending before this is over even though the implication of that is that stuffed, cured, illegally counted, and fraudulent ballots must be allowed to drown out the legal ones.

All of those brave grand-grand-grand-grandmas spent their days working on the cotton plantations. How dares Trump deny them their right to vote just because they've been dead for a mere... 100 years.

Lol, it’s a little late to just remove them. And this isn’t like they’re faithless electors or something. They have no obligation to rubberstamp and every obligation not to. Dems argument might as well be this is a ceremonial position.
