Isn't this the year that the "gentleman's agreement" expires re: challenging elections? I seem to recall that for years, Repubs were not allowed to challenge any elections for a span of time, and this year is the end of that. I tried to look it up but holy hell all the pages of irrelevant articles makes it impossible at this time to verify. Does anyone else remember that? Or am I just needing more coffee this morning?

The judge who kept renewing the agreement finally died last year, IIRC.

So yes.

EDIT: Actually he died in 2015, and the decree expired in 2018. Source.

I've seen a lot of talk regarding the 2000 election. They still counted votes, after the Supreme Court decision. They just wouldn't be "official". If all legitimate votes were counted, Gore would have won.

This was known in 2001, where's the Republican outrage?
Hello Chris,

How's unemployment treating you? Are you planning on going back to writing your shitty blog? This is pretty pathetic dude.

You’re more likely to see a similar occurrence to what happened in Canada- the increased prominence of a national broadcaster over a longer term, and a media bailout that ties legacy media to the hip with government and raises conflict of interest questions.

Simultaneously, you’ll start getting ponderings over how much of the ‘new media’ needs to be regulated to stop ‘fake news’.
And from what I've heard, the love affair with Trudeau is pretty embarrassing. At least we don't have British license fees.

Things must be getting pretty bad in here if people are now fantasizing fanfiction about Trump actually being Caesar all along and saving them.
For the record, I am not fantasizing, just pointing out the truth of the matter that if Trump really wants that second term, he will have that second term.

Actually, reading into the matter deeper. What the fuck is this decree?

(d) refrain from giving any directions to or permitting their employees to campaign within restricted polling areas or tointerrogate prospective voters as to their qualifications to vote prior to their entry to a polling place;
(e) refrain from undertaking any ballot security activities in polling places or election districts where the racial or ethnic composition of such districts is a factor in the decision to conduct, or the actual conduct of, such activities there and where a purpose or significant effect of such activities is to deter qualified voters from voting; and the conduct of such activities disproportionately in or directed toward districts that have a substantial proportion of racial or ethnic populations shall be considered relevant evidence of the existence of such a factor and purpose;
(f) refrain from having private personnel deputized as law enforcement personnel in connection with ballot security activities.

Lol, so in 2016, Drumpf wouldn't even be legally allowed to challenge voter fraud as he did this year. Dude really got +99 in his luck stats.

Neither side gives a shit about "integrity and fairness" when they win. The Right said jack and shit about mail ins when it gave Bush the win in 2000 and it spent the last 4 years clowning on the Left for thinking Russia stole 2016 for Trump.

Now the shoe's on the other foot and they've spent the past two weeks spiraling into batshit lunacy as more and more evidence comes out against them.
Mail in ballots in florida in 2000 weren't a last minute change, nor where they mass mailed to everyone on the registration list, so that's a completely false comparison.

Not saying the gop is a paragon of honor but your example doesn't indicate anything. Plus you're brushing over observers being locked out, late night ballot dumps, etc.

I see people are so thirsty for action or at least concrete news that we've started writing fanfiction. The past few pages were a trip.
Dude, this shit could last until December 13th, the day before the electors cast their votes, and it's entirely possible that the election may not be certified then. That in turn means we have a whole other can of worms called a contingent election that gets opened up. Strap yourself in motherfucker, this could be a wild ride.

It's not a coincidence that 2018 was the first year in over a hundred years that both Florida senate seats were held by Republicans. Rick Scott and Ron DeSantis were bleeding their leads due to Broward County counting for days, while Mexico Beach in Bay County finished recounting long before Broward even though it was destroyed by a hurricane, until Scott put an end to that.
That decree is such horseshit, and I'm amazed that it was even allowed to stand, but not surprised that it started.

Watching Georgia go from 99.4% reporting at 3:37am to 85.7% reporting by 3:42am broke me

Edit: Timing/post order checks out lol
It didn't broke me, that was the exact moment I noticed that the whole thing was a sham and that it was going to be solved in the supreme court.

I also knew evidence of fraud would be so overwhelming that it would split the country in the middle.
