I'd like to know how the GSA handled the 2000 election before I doomer about today.

Because I can see Trump doing this as a PR move to show he's not clinging to a bunker, but at the same time I don't want it to be an excuse to let SCOTUS just sort of go "well, if everyone says 2+2 =5, we can't really argue against it..."

Really at this point I just want to see who on the court is going to stab Trump in the back, or will they will actually do the most 2020 thing and open fire on the fraud states.

The economic ruin caused by the pandemic measures is basically going to be a presidency-defining crisis for Biden. His response to this is most likely going to be another wealth transfer to the elites, TARP-style, but on a completely unprecedented level. I am not an economist, but it seems to me that this shit is going to have society-transforming effects and I'm not sure we can predict what will shake out from it.

I do know that there is already widespread disobedience to state and local lockdown orders, and a fucking shitload of anger simmering about them in many areas. If the federal government starts enforcing nationwide versions of them, then I can see similar consequences emerging that were seen during the Prohibition era. People tend to enjoy going out to bars and socializing with their friends, for example, and won't just voluntarily imprison themselves in their own homes forever no matter how much propaganda is blasted about it across the media. Governments at all levels will eventually have to use more forceful enforcement methods to gain compliance, and that isn't going to be pretty if you're talking about federal task forces.

I'm not a law autist. I don't speak legalese. That's why I've mostly kept out of this thread in the past few days, because it's not my area of expertise. Gotta focus on my coursework (physics & math demands a lot of studying that political junkie-ing takes time away from), my fitness routine, my diet... basically everything actually within my locus of control.

Doomers make the absolutely worst use of their time that they possibly can make. At least most drug addicts (whether it be nicotine, heroin, crack, vidya gaems) are addicted to chemical hits that make them feel better. Doomers/blackpillers are addicted to feelings of hopelessness, despair, and bleakness, which is perhaps the most pathetic thing I've ever witnessed in other human beings,

If you're going to waste your life away, why not do something more uplifting? I mean I haven't played vidya gaems in a while but isn't there anything new out there for you to vegetate for hours on end in front of a screen doing something that isn't trying to spread your loserdom to other people? Or is every new vidya gaem these days like Fallout 76? I've been out of the loop.

My intuition tells me this:

1. there's definitely more than enough evidence out there to prove that there was enough fraud to tip enough states to change the outcome
2. the point of no return has not been reached yet, therefore any minor setbacks - like some states voting to certify when they apparently can later change things if fraud is proven - are not worth fretting about
3. there is a hell of a lot of coordinated shilling about the legal team, Powell in particular, which means she's onto something
4. Trump has not conceded and has a demeanor like he knows that he has enough in his arsenal to be triumphant. He's not Romney. He not only knows that they'll go after him and his family, but that our democracy is compromised if he surrenders
5. The lawyers working on this know a hell of a lot more than internet losers trying to spread their hopelessness around
