The same reason why the GOP sat the last 20 years of the culture war out letting the religious groups fight it on their own and eventually being subverted and destroyed, at least until GamerGate and Milo Yiannopoulos made the younger, new-Right, realize that the old NeoCons / GOPe were fucking idiots. Milo's sect literally put out an olive branch to the vast swaths of the moderates and the not-left-enough that the Progressives were purging from online lefty spaces for wrongthink and over 1 or 2 political cycles outpaced the NeoCons to the point that someone like Trump could throw a wrench into the "It was Her Turn" machine.

Basically, the Globalist types convinced the GOPe that letting the left control the culture would be best for globalist interests in the US, and the NeoLibs and NeoCons would work together to keep the Uniparty going unimpeded forever. No more actual fighting, just controlled opposition, in theory on both sides, forever as American (and foreign) business reaped the whirlwind of Globalist friendly policies and the US is sunsetted in favor of more controllable countries elsewhere. Look into shit like "The Project for a New American Way" (Or People for a New American Century forget the exact name) which predicted Occupy Wallstreet and the Tea Party back in the late 80s -- and the stated game plan was to make sure the populists on the right and the populists on the right were conditioned to hate each other so they could be cordoned off, radicalized in a safe manner, and destroyed. Which is exactly what you saw with both groups, although the Neo-Libs appear to have woefully underestimated how fucked in the head Marxists are, so... PNAC/PNAW/whatever had the Clintons, the Bushes, a veritable whos who of swamp creatures involved.
If you're a member of the GOPe, you've been trained your entire life, from college upwards, to NEVER organize, because Organization is something only Unions and Commies do, righties "do it themselves." So you're already 100% fucking worthless from a political standpoint. You and your cultural counterparts are intentionally kept in a crab pot mentality where everyone's gonna be the next Ann Coulter or Tucker Carlson, and if anyone actually gets ahead of the pack, the other crabs knife them in the back and stomp them into the dirt for being uppity. If you manage to get into politics, every organizer and activist and analyst you NEED to be able to do anything is cucked -- or a lefty who wants YOU to be cucked. Every one of them. They know how the game is played, they're either literally lefty-moles or at the very least are part of a machine that has enough globalist hands on it that they don't dare break ranks. So if you're a righty politician, the only information you get is that cucking is the only way forward. The only responses you hear is how people love you for cucking. If you try to do anything else, your own staff will literally ignore you, subvert you, or let other cucked NeoCons know so they know to intervene and stop you. And if you refuse to play the game enough, they will literally sabotage your race in order to discard and draw again, try again with the next one.
