Here's what happened with Mitch.

He thought our best route was to get distribution thru Wal-Mart, since they were in Arkansas, and he thought he had the connections to make that happen. He invited me out to take some meetings, and since I didn't really have any better ideas than Direct to Consumer, I visited two or three times.

Turns out, it's not difficult to get magazine stand distribution. You only have to ask. But the books are returnable, and it didn't seem like a terrific idea to me.

Their business partners were pushing the idea that WalMart would lead to other merchandising deals though, so I was kind of interested. I got a phone call from the guy at the head of their business venture, pressuring me to sign CYBERFROG over to the business. I said "no thank you!"

Mitch called and expressed alarm that this had happened, and then said he guessed that was part of the arrangement, but he understood etc etc.

Then he accidentally sent me this text:

Things cooled off from there. I wasn't going to share CYBERFROG with the Breitweisers or their company in exchange for placement at WALMART. I don't have ill feelings towards them, but RED ROOSTER has been a disaster on the IGG side of things, and that's my main concern.

We stopped talking for almost a year, and then started chatting again, mostly over some conspiracy shit he was enduring regarding the Bunny crew.

I can't answer for the lateness of RED ROOSTER, I find it to be a betrayal of his backers that can't be repaired.

Egos are tough. Having to play second fiddle to me when you're pretty sure that you're a waaaay better artist than I am has got to be rough. You start to invent justifications for your bitterness. "He's just an e-celeb. I'm a REAL comic book creator!"

Rejecting my help, trying to do it without me and realizing that your success was my success all along has broken a few Smiller types in the past two years. And I get it.

Resentment grows, and everyone wants to take me down.

Smart people just work with me. I don't mean any ComicsGaters any harm, and it does make me happy to see people that I've helped making lots of money on their campaigns. All of this really is just about creating a marketing engine for indie creators to sell their comics. I'm happy to work with people who don't have emotional disorders and jealous complexes. I've previously expressed my dissatisfaction with some of Ethan's decisions, mostly in the containment thread where it belongs. There's nothing more annoying than coming here to the main thread and discovering it's moved 4 pages with nothing but alogging and there's no posts of substance. Personally as I've said previously, it's hard to find things to criticize Ethan for lately. He finally put a stop to Warcampaign by allowing them to self immolate, he brought Dan Fraga, Shane Davis and Graham Nolan into the CG fold, he has increased the value of Rekt Planet and Warts N All for his backers, he disavowed Liam striking the SWC brothers channel, is currently spending time helping rehabilitate Nasser into Comicsgate, he extended an olive branch to Mike by both apologizing to him and forgiving him and lastly appears to be unhappy with Liam's false flags on Mike's, Nasser's and Testefy's channels.

If other kiwi's wish to alog Ethan, so be it but at least make the posts interesting. Provide screenshots of tweets, archives of posts, timestamped livestreams, clips of videos or something of substance to explain why you feel the way you do, instead of writing wall after wall of text like kiwifarm's is your fucking diary. After a while some of the posts are simply repetitive and boring and I just scroll past them without reading them.

If it wasn't for Mister Dongs, Jspit, Yuusha-Sama, Analog Devolved, Carmina Burana and several other posters providing stream write ups, doxes, deep dives of lore and current tweets of industry pro's I'd probably ditch this thread. In this case I guess the alogging paid off, since Ethan released DMs of both Mitch Breitweiser and Tim Lim so at least something interesting happened today.

In a attempt to placate his fans it appears Frog has made last nights stream public again. However he has chopped off the last 15 minutes or so, resulting in utter confusion from his comments section who are wondering how they didn't get notified for a stream that happened 22 hours ago (and why part of it is now missing). To be fair, he's stuck in a catch 22 because if he keeps it private he gets hounded on twitter and if he puts it back up in full youtube might come down on him. Not sure why he doesn't just use a second channel like people have been telling him to do for years.
