It's completely stupid is what the whole thing is. Yeah they can go on about the importance representation and how it got tampered by this appropriation and all but they essentially just end up looking stupid over it because it's just a screenshot of a game that, assuming what I hear is true, let's you pick whatever sex, skin color, hair color, and hair style one would want. And there's way more important shit they could focus on that can help out black people than getting bothered by a screenshot that got the name of a hairstyle wrong.

It's so bizarre to me to think this is the fate for Animal Crossing considering all my happy memories of playing the original back in 2002, it's a perfect example of the difference between 2002 and the sheer chittering insanity that is 2020.
