Fox news will never die out or be irrelevant. They performed entryism on it. It's held up as "the alt-right tRump supporter network" so when they need to try and manipulate the right, or to give an example of the right "going too far" they can just cite Fox News as being against something.

It's like people still trying to claim CNN is neutral. It's kabuki theatre, nothing more.

It can be much less relevant than it is now. Its ability to do anything is dependent on people actually watching it.

Forget that. If Parler actually became a threat to Twitter (which is controlled), Parler would either become controlled in the same way in hours if not days, or they'd have their ability to process funds and host their website removed, a la Gab.

Youtube is a special case, since the cost of running Youtube is in the billions. It's subsidized by Alphabet/Google, specifically because controlling "the new TV" (and more importantly, it's viewers) is worth more to them than the billions they spend keeping it up.

If Antitrust ever hit Alphabet -- it won't, because Alphabet knows how to play the game and has effectively been contracted to outsource certain things the Government can't legally do, like regulate speech -- Youtube would be dead in a month.

The Monday deadline people are talking about is the Pennsylvania state legislature terms expire after Monday then they go into recess until January. So the resolution being proposed by some in the state house would need to either be voted through both Chambers on Monday (not happening probably won't even reach a vote) or they would need a majority of the PA House and Senate to petition the governer for a special session. Seeing as how they currently have 10% of the House signed on they have a long way to go for that and terms end after Monday and the election results are held up in court so it's unclear to me how that would even work.

The other deadline of the 8th someone else explained already.
