A joke, but this is again ironically how right wingers basically helped make socialism popular again by endlessly screeching that anything they didn't like, including highly popular things like Social Security, was socialism. Eventually they convinced people a bunch of popular things were socialism, and a lot of them decided okay, socialism is pretty cool. Now, by labeling everything under the sun they don't like (including free speech) as "Nazism," they're again convincing people that hey, if all these pretty cool things are actually Nazism, maybe Nazism is pretty cool!

So did Ellen Page see a doctor, get any sort of documentation on their gender dysphoria, or did they literally just 'announce' it like one announces a new kid or a marriage for purely PR reasons?

I would imagine the latter because trans people don't have to consult a doctor before coming out as trans if I'm not mistaken.

Saying that trans people have dysphoria is transphobia. If you want to be progressive, you need to say being trans (or gay, for that matter) is just a choice and has no meaning.

The funny part is that Ellen's wikipedia page states that she came out as "gay" in 2014, which feels very dishonest because it implies she didn't sit on her lesbian laurels for six years until the attention waned.
Edit: people are claiming "sexuality can be changed" on Emma Portner's Instagram in response to people asking if she's a lesbian or not... Good to see trannies are setting gay right back as always.

There are only sperm produced by males and eggs produced by females. When she produces evidence of a third gamete then I will listen to her, otherwise this is a painfully cringe misunderstanding of what sex actually is. Except of course they KNOW there’s only two sexes - what they want is for everyone else to deny reality because they say they must.
Her supervisor’s emails are hilarious, and absolutely dripping with polite disdain. I love when people can write politely yet convey their utter loathing of someone.

As someone on twitter pointed out, the abnormal karotypes as as much new sexes as Down's Syndrome is a new species.
