Megathread Tranny Sideshows on Social Media - Any small-time spectacle on Reddit, Tumblr, Twitter, Dating Sites, and other social media.

She’ll change her mind twenty years from now when it will be fashionable to renounce troonacy. She’ll claim she was confused, that evil doctors led her astray, that Hollywood wasn’t ready to embrace a gender nonconforming woman, blah blah
And at that point when it is fashionable to renounce troonacy, the media will suddenly cash out on pity-positivity spots for detransitioners. Like those "Oh so inspiring" skin surgeries after massive weight loss or people who survived suicide attempt and left with arse-mouth that somehow they have to act and talk like how accepting of their current horrible situations - but imply that cosmetic surgeries will make them whole or something. Most audience would congratulates them while being forced to feel sad, in the same way with how current TV spots about troons finally becoming their "authentic selves" used to move them to tears unquestioning. People are forgetful.

And those detroons remain in some form, stuck with self hatred and chasing the dragon that started their troonacy in the first place. As much as I feel sad for them (I feel sad for all troons we're seeing here) r/detrans are full of delusional attention seekers and nutcases no different than these sideshows.

Can't wait to see that day...

Amy Dyess is a cis butch lesbian who became gender critical, got involved with GC activism, and then became disillusioned and left the movement. She describes it as as cult in a long, meandering Medium piece which was discussed ITT several months ago.

Amy recently published a follow-up piece called "How To Leave the Gender Critical Cult" (archive). She encourages people who are breaking from GC communities to reconnect with people who may have cut you out of their life, and to seek forgiveness from people you feel you've harmed.

Forgiveness is available, she claims, and reconciliation is possible.

Trans Twitter, however, did not get the memo, and everyone would rather do BPD splitting over it, instead.

I've never in my life known what "asking for accountability" means. It means wanting someone to be punished, right? "The Violet Wanderers" (@VioletWanderers) on Twitter, is an irrelevant podcast about being queer. Not totally sure which podcast member runs the Twitter account, but I'm assuming it's the one represented by Daphne in the icon, and the one who describes himself like this on the podcast website.

Just a hunch. Anyway.

So to all my cuties in this thread, remember!

-If you're public about your GC opinions and then decide to change, you'll still be branded as an abusive TERF
-Your apology will not be accepted
-You'll be hostage to a nebulous idea of "accountability"
-No one will believe you've had a change of heart
-No one will give you a second chance
-Forgiveness will be impossible

So basically you're here forever, mwah!

Imagine willingly transitioning to a manlet. One of nature's most reviled creatures.

Right? If she starts taking testosterone and tries to look like a man, she'll end up looking like an fat thirteen year-old boy who is somehow balding and has an ugly pedostache. She'll never end up looking like an actual man.

You'd have to be desperate for attention to do that to yourself.

Also, what's up with the suicide threats right in the coming out letter? She's basically saying, "don't you dare doubt me or I'll end it all!" Truly, that is the sign of a healthy and well-adjusted mind. I would also assume that loving oneself would include accepting the fact you are female, but apparently being female is just unacceptable.

"They use they/them or she/her pronouns..." I guess they just didn't feel 'he/him' applied when considering they's seven guns, love of sci fi, and thinly veiled threats about knowing what's good for you. Just girl things!

Imo, applying gender to things like guns and sci fi IS the problem. We as humans make all this shit up and then argue with each other over its deep significance, crazy. However, violence likely is a biologically make trait, certainly moreso than female, so that one fits.

Huh, I might go back to tumblr since the woke crowd moved over to twitter and instagram.

She's not going to go on testosterone. She's going to keep living her normal life and just demand everyone call her "he" and "they" and then claim "they" are "dismantling the gender binary".

The claimed reason is to bring an end to their 'old' self and become a new person. The truth is they're playing an act and they'd have a harder time keeping up the facade while using their original name with its included assumptions.
Well when you put it that way it doesn’t sound like Evangelical Christianity at all! /sarcasm

Basically, she's going to become a royal pain in the ass to everyone around her.

Can't explain the science behind it but even the trannys that never go through puberty end up developing features of their biological sex. I'm not sure how much magic she's expecting the testosterone to work odds are she's just going to end up looking gross. RIP Ellen Paige

I know at this point bringing up 1984 is cliche boardering on tacky but the aggressive speed at which all of Ellen Pages credits have been swapped out all across the internet is kind of freaky. It rings so strongly of The Ministry of Truth rewriting history and memory holing anything that doesn't fit the state approved narrative it's almost cartoonish.

Here’s my question: if gender and sex are social constructs and white colonialism or whatever they cry these days, why do they all change their names? Especially someone famous? Although Ellen is a feminine name, she could’ve rebranded it to sound sort of unisex like the name Glenn or something. Instead she’s traded her famous name in for something generic and random. For what purpose?
There's power in being able to force others to play along with your feelings/emotions. There's power in forcing others to rewrite and hide your history. There's usually a type of person who likes this who becomes the type of trans person who likes this.

A famous counterexample is Caitlyn Jenner, she still wants her Olympics career and such to be referred to as Bruce Jenner (even asked ESPN to change her back to Bruce on their site when talking about it), and is still called "dad" by her kids. (Can't find it now but there were troons freaking out on her behalf over video of this and she responded to it with something like "I'll always be their dad.") I don't know enough about the newly christened Elliot Page to know if he is a forgiving type or not if we accidentally "dead name" her when talking about I don't know, Juno or Inception or whatever.

edit: Here's a link on the Jenner thing with video, https://screenrant.com/caitlyn-jenner-why-children-still-call-her-dad/
"Primarily Bruce raised them, and Caitlyn is enjoying her life with them," says 70-year-old Jenner. She goes on to explain that daughter Kendall Jenner asked her once why they still call her dad, to which she replied, "I'm your dad and I'll always be your dad 'till the day I die."

I think she is going the Sam Smith "I'm non-binary now, y'all, so look at meeeeeeeeee!" route.
She was less lazy and actually changed her name (requiring everyone else to bow to this change), but I doubt she'll do anything medical.
Just gets to be extra special and requiring people to deny what they see right in front of them.

Next up they will claim Trump wasn't even ever President.

Thank you, I don't know how people keep all the acronyms straight
Tim (and Tif for females) is mainly used by gender criticals who don't want "woman" ever used for men who think they are women.

Was OK when it only applied to a few transexuals here and there, but now with "trans women are women" trying to be repeated over and over until it gets accepted, the entire idea of allowing AGP and dysphoric males to use "women" was giving an inch that has now become a mile.

Not straight up troon social media, but in line with a lot of what is discussed here.

Two comics from Dan Clowes in the early 90s touch on some proto-troonery that society has only seen blossom in last two decades.

From a comic singing the praises of ugly and plain gals:

A comic predicting some of the more depressing aspects of the coming years:

What comic is this from?
