Imagine knowing that your toddler daughter has been living in a public shelter for a whole year of her short life and it is directly your own fault. It's not like Lowtax has ever been an involved and loving parent, but you can't pill and booze something like that away.

That post is a classic but people still kissed his ass long after. I think the tide substantively turned this time last year and then his support collapsed a few months ago. How time flies!

I think it really started in 2013 after Lowtax’s non-response to the reveals about Aatrek, all his noise about “de-tumblrfying” the forums afterwards, and then making GBS a no rules zone. People were never over that, and it was only in the last few months where they could make that long repressed resentment public.

I think selling SA was the worst move for him. At least people still talk about the autists that rage quit and shut down their forums. In a few years, maybe even a few months, lowtax will be an absolute nobody.

Had he shut the forum down in anger at least it would have been memorable and he could have possibly salvaged a few more followers. Even his supporters have no reason to follow him, SA still exists so why would they leave?

The smart thing to do would have been to realize that you can never please troons and just ban all of them and start over with a new mod staff. It might not be profitable in the short term but that would be the only hope of revitalizing SA. On some level Lowtax has to realize that troons and soyboys are a cancer and it's best to just cut the tumor out now before it kills the host.

Now that SA is gone, Richard has absolutely nothing to show for his life and no income. No income, no family, his parents probably think he's a joke even as they fund his degeneracy, his older daughter hates him, he's in his mid 40s, and all he has to look forward to each day is taking some pills and washing them down with booze and passing out. Truly nightmarish and most people with principals would probably commit suicide if they were in his shoes.

Lots of shelters have actual apartments that they own and that's often where they set up long-term clients with children like Ashli. They're still part of the official shelter, so Ashli's still in 'the shelter', but she's probably not staying at the actual shelter anymore, and hasn't for months. If the shelter she originally went to doesn't have those resources, lots of shelter organizations have working agreements with each other, and she was probably shuttled off to a shelter that could accommodate her needs.

The last I saw in the other thread, Ashli's lawyer said that Ashli and kid are still staying in the actual shelter because of immigration issues (Lowtax's mom revoked her sponsorship of Ashli and LowT has threatened to try to have her deported.) Apparently she is protected from la migra if she's in a DV shelter.

The odds that she's still in dormitory or shared housing are small, especially since she has no drug or alcohol issues and she has a small child. She may have a roommate or two, but she's not in a barracks. DV shelters don't really do barracks-style housing anyway, that's more in shelters geared towards drug-addict and alcoholic homeless men.
