Why is everyone down on Crenshaw? Only thing I disagree with him on is that he wants to keep the forever war going (which I guess is understandable for a former SEAL). I know he has butted heads with Beta O'Dork and AOC.

He may not be perfect, but I'm pretty sure he's not a NeverTrumper.

He's a neocon. Supports red flag laws, forever wars, wanted to get us entrenched in Syria
At the very least, he knows how to rock an eyepatch.

For 230 all they'd have to do is enforce the fucking law. Its pretty clear there's no enforcement arm of it. Yeah, its great having a law that prevents people from suing. But there's no punishment mechanism. The passive part works just fine. Its the active part that's a problem. Trump is a fucking mongoloid who doesn't understand 230. But its clear that a free and open internet's days are numbered. There's going to be a split. Sites like this will eventually have to retreat to the dark web while the mainstream internet gives the corpratists an erection as they sanitize it. We're Shadowrun, except without getting to fuck hot goth/punk elves and no cyber arms and magic. What boring bullshit.

What REALLY fucked us is Regan got rid of the fairness doctrine, which basically pushed the gas on partisianism. Now news media can spew whatever tainted feces they want without bothering to even attempt a balancing act. Keeping the doctrine in place would have lead to a less 'bought' media, which is what it was put in place to prevent in the first place. Imagine a world without partisan journos. But of course, Regan fucked all that up.
Lol, fairness doctrine only benefitted the left. If we had it today, it’d be “here’s why Trump is shit from a liberal perspective, and here is why Trump is shit from a conservative perspective”.

It's a nice thought, but c'mon, it's at least 50/50 she printed that out herself. Perhaps in Harris's America, there will be fewer incentives to present as being harassed by Nazis.

Should tell her to file a police report and let them analyze the printer paper and ink. 99% chance it's gonna be the one in her home.

(but she knows that so she will never actually file a police report and will just twitter sperg about it)

You'd think this super amazing lawyer would not make such awful mistakes, no?

the affiant is a cyber security nerd.
(one that the nyt thought was impressive and worth listening to a few years ago) there is an edison state college in eaton, so its not outside the realm of possibility he mistook one for another.

we can check the voting data and see which counties match what he's saying too. (no we cant the dems will never let us check)

Only 50/50?

Keep dreaming. Every totalitarian society needs its Emmanuel Goldsteins and two minutes hate to keep the people distracted from the real problems. We have it even now, look at how they complain about white supremacy even though white supremacist violence has, over the last thirty years, killed maybe a grand total of 7 people, far less than radical Islam or violence from Anarcho-Communists

Trump is fucking retarded. This is pure reactionary. He did jack shit about the technocrats censoring all speech that they hated for four fucking years while American's rights were whittled away. Now that it bit him in the fucking ass and cost him the election, its time to do something about it? Go fuck yourself. Seriously. Centrists and anyone to the right of Mao had their money and livelihood endangered and only fostered extremism. He's allowed anyone who challenged the narrative to eat constant shit. Now he's suddenly interested in 230 because it hurt him? Trump can eat a cock. This actually pisses me off. Greatly. They fucking said they'd make him lose the election and he did NOTHING. People were stripped of their livelihoods and he did NOTHING. Now he wants to? Because this stupid motherfucker just realized "Oh, maybe I shouldn't have let them ass fuck literally anyone who was not a rabid communist." No, he liked being the opposition too much and enjoyed being persecuted. Concede and fuck off. You did this to yourself.

This entire process has been reactionary trash, constantly caught on the back foot. It disgusts me that we have to live with the spineless GOP and Trump to actually deal with these obvious fucking issues. Our only real hope is foot soldiers on the ground being more cogent, and maybe some of them being spurred to organize and make their own political machines. But thanks to Trump's inaction on censorship he's made it unnecessarily difficult. Want to organize? Whoops, your Twitter and Facebook got banned. Want to try and get income? Whoops, every payment processor on Earth banned you. Want to make your own platforms? lol, prepare to have every media outlet and major corporation denounce your platform as being a hotbed of retardation and racism. You want to blame someone for this? Blame Trump. He had plenty of time before COVID and this year to try something. He didn't bother.

MI offered some real evidence. I honestly don't give a shit if Trump is re-elected or not (and as I have to constantly repeat myself, I predicted a Biden win weeks before the election), I want these issues ironed out ASAP. I can only hope people in the affected areas will keep up their disgust and get something done, politically. I'm not counting on this joke of this party 'machinery' to fucking do anything. Fucking neo-liberal and neo-con living trash. I hope they suck cocks in hell together, faggots. The lot of them.

My one nugget of hope is that regular people will do something about this (not cause a revolution or shoot people, you idiots) but shore up the process as much as possible.
He was yelling "REVOKE 230!" since before the riots started IIRC. It's just that all it's ever lead to were some hearings and bills being proposed.

I just wonder where all these Nazis were during the Obama years.

Some percentage of Obama voters must have voted for Trump in 2016.

Honestly, I have a lot of mixed feelings about the state of the GOP. It won't survive going back to its milktoast days of Dubya, McCain, Romney, etc. Populism is a winning strategy.
If you can keep the fire burning. Otherwise, populism is repeated historical phenomenon for a reason-- to say nothing of the fact that even if you manage a populist rejuvenation of a political party, even if the revolutionaries don't become the establishment they once hated, internal politics can calcify into that in 0-2 generations.

At the same time, beggars can't be choosers, especially not in the coming GA runoffs where Senate control hangs in the balance. The purity spiraling over Loeffler and Perdue only helps Democrats.
So, the first thing is to not be beggars in the first place so that this scenario can be avoided wholesale in the future.

That aside, this is exactly what career politicians bank on-- "now, I know I'm a complete scoundrel at best and a good-for-nothing do-nothing at worst, but that guy over there is going to be a building block to the tower of communism/fascism, and if you don't vote for me, there'll be nobody standing in the way of that". People think that there needs to be change, but nobody actually does anything to even promote it, and before you know it, you're stuck between voting for a do-nothing that wears your interests as an accessory and a guy that wears the interests of your opposition as either an accessory or an entire suit.

These people hope you resign yourself to the "lesser of two evils mentality" because it's oftentimes the refuge of the unmotivated, which ensures they don't even have a vigorous primary challenge. Like, these people barely owe you anything because you're oftentimes not the one bankrolling their campaign expenses-- what are they going to owe you after they've secured their legislative seat? What are you going to do if they shit and do nothing, or even link arms with the opposition? Not vote for them? When it comes to the Senate, the stakes are always this high. Any party is barely getting by with a 51-seat majority, after all.

The best-but-riskiest option people have, after vigorously pushing a reliable candidate that embodies their interests, is outright withholding their vote, even if it's at the risk of letting the opposition win. Tell these people that your ballot is their meal ticket, and make them recognize that they will be left on residuals-- if they're lucky-- if they don't do their job and represent the people that are electing them to be their representatives, even if it means that the tower to communism/fascism gets one brick higher. All that means is that there wasn't anyone that was looking to represent them in the first place.

But you can't make that threat after you vote for them, and establish a pattern of voting for them no matter what they do (or don't do). It's like what's happening to the black voter bloc-- between the expansion of the Latino demographic vis-a-vis the black demographic's growth stagnation, the fact that the Latino vote is actually competitive compared to the black vote (in fact, it's foolish to lump all the Latino subgroups together), and the fact that the desires of these two voter blocs diverge and even come into conflict at times, the list of reasons why the Democratic party has to care at all about even signaling to the African-American community is shrinking.
