Containment What will happen when Barb dies?

Most of us know what will happen...... Chris becomes homeless and whores himself for money and Chris won't care because he'll think that Barb has been reincarnated to Cwcville in C197. :roll:

I didn't mean to imply that he was specifically going to shoot himself. I just meant suicide in general. Chris seems like he'd be likely to do it imo, even if he didn't do it with the intent to die. (e.g., shedding his mortal body to live in CWCVille forever.)

News to me. All I recall that could be seen as his wanting to leave is his epic cross-country voyage to rescue Julie, his trips to various cons don't really count in my eyes. And he's always seemed perfectly content with 14 Branchland as a place to live: more than happy to sit in his own mess.

I think it may have been one of the Kacey calls, and was asked whether he wanted to move out (also 100% not sure about this). Chris said yes (but that was a lie on Chris' part). Well, let's face it: I'm sure Bob tried to teach Chris how to live on his own, but no info was retained through Chris' brain. In addition to his Ohio trip, it was evident that Chris couldn't hack it outside 14 BLC, so Barb decided to latch herself on to Chris like junk in a horded house.

Barb basically sees Chris as part of the hoard and kept a tight leash on him after Bob died and the Snyder trial

He wouldn't even start going to to conventions until after the fire in 2014 when much of Barb's original hoard was destroyed and she began to loosen up on her grip.

It's sad that Barb insisted on rebuilding 14 Branchland and restarting the hoard because there was a brief time from 2014 to around 2016 where Chris genuinely seemed to be getting slightly better. He was still a total mess and would never be able to function on his own, but it seemed like he'd be able to do okay after Barb's eventual death provided someone was there to guide him into a cheapo trailer or apartment and he'd be living tugboat to tugboat for the rest of his life.

Then the Idea Guys happened and actively fostered this dimensional merge shit. I think stuff like talking to Sonichu in Walsh's office and the Roger Rabbit discussion from the Classic Chris days was more childlike pretending and posturing bullshit and Chris deep down knew it was performative and fake.

I think at best, Chris would retreat into the dimensional merge headspace where he could be happy for a bit, especially after it became clear the organized trolling from the PVCC crew wasn't ever going to come back and at best, it'd be guys like Marvin observing but otherwise doing nothing.

Then the Idea Guys decided to play along and pretty much brainwashed him into thinking his fantasies were real. There's a good chance that the troon drugs and health complications that eventually killed his libido may have also wrecked his already tenuous grasp on reality.

All the more reason why Chris should be under supervision after Barb dies. He can't be trusted to do anything on his own, and is open to potential abuse like idea guys or Praeton now.

Chris probably would require supervision. I don't know what the odds of him receiving it are. Him sperging on about some dimensional merge shit only makes him sound like a mentally ill hobo in need of help. Hopefully someone will be able at least offer it to him.

I'm still of the opinion that Chris will either A) Live in a small trailer or B) a consortium of enablers/weens buys 14 BLC and uses Chris as a sideshow display.

Do you think Chris will make the news again when he will be evicted?

Yeah, ever watch Hoarders? All of those people claim that they have valuable stuff. "Oh, it's worth so much!". The one that really sticks out is a lady who supposedlly collected high end purses. Super high end stuff, mind you, Louis Vutton. She blew her husbands savings on it. They brought in a specialist to go through the purse "collection". She eneded up getting $300 for the whole lot. Most were fakes or just crap.

I imagine the situation at 14 BLC is even worse. A mix of the filth hoarders, dogs that shit everywhere and "treasures" that are worth less than the price of your shirt. Even Chris's crap, some of which might have had value is worthless because of the condition he has kept it in. Yeah, I really want a Commodore 64 in the box, with a special surprise of mouse shit.

Well he had at least one even though Barb is the only one who ever fired it, at least according to Cole. I don't see Barb getting rid of anything of value, ever, for any reason, so if it was ever in the house, it still is.
I'm gonna be honest, I don't see Chris living in 14 Branchland Court long enough for him to be there when the Repo Depot shows up after Barb dies. She's the only thing tying him to that place and even in his deluded state, he hates it there.

Once Barb's gone, it's either homeless saga or living in some ween's basement or garage

Cole once made a comment about Barb "shooting one of Bob's guns in the house" and the bullet allegedly "bounced around the room". Nobody knows how true the statement is, but its physically improbable for anything outside of a subsonic .22 hitting a metal bowl or something to ricochet around a room.
