Was listening to this week's Trash Taste podcast episode and they mentioned that Mori was actually sitting physically there for the recording. Also said that they can't disclose the actual method that was used because they signed an NDA.

It's actually the one part of her kayfabe that's starting to rub me the wrong way, because it's the part that feels the most fake. Just comes across as trying too hard to seem like a boomer.

I mean she did go to art school. Outside of the sex and drugs, art students can be weirdly old-fashioned in a lot of their habits. "Art school thot with grandma aesthetic" is probably an undiagnosed form of western gap-moe.

I wonder if she smokes, otherwise I cant explain why she sounds like a 40 years old woman, it drives me up a fucking wall, even Kiara who I hate doesnt have this effect on me.

I think there is enough material to make a thread about him, he has the tendency to lurk in Matsuri TT to practically like everything that is related to her and comment in any piece of artwork that has Matsuri on it, that guy is obsessed

When she asked her followers not to be so obvious about her other identity (many of them had Matsuri avatars, nicknames, etc.), he created an alt named "lyger_sub" with the same profile picture, only partially darkened. When he was called out on this, he changed it to "lyger_alt" IIRC and he might've darkened the picture some more but let's be real even if he changed his avatar entirely the lack of awareness is still astounding.
  • His currently Twitter handle is just gibberish but he isn't hard to spot because:
    1. He replies to all of her posts within minutes.​
    2. His name is just "lyger" but katakanized.​
    3. His avatar is a yet darker version of his original profile picture.​
One has to wonder why he can't just make an anonymous account but the logical answer seems to be because he doesn't want to lose the GBPs he's accumulated.

Edit: Just to be clear on where I stand, I do think his work as a translator has been a net positive for the chuuba community as a whole. I also believe it wouldn't be the worst idea for him to tone down the autism just a smidge, or at least keep it off the internet. However, as a Farmer I recognize that sperging can make for some good content, so consider me conflicted...

I think that's actually part of her personality. When she drops the whole "reaper adjusting to being human" thing that she does (which is normally just saying 'reaper' after everything) she definitely comes across as someone who really hasn't been a part of pop culture society for a while. Looking at her life it makes some sense since she seems to have traveled to Japan as soon as she was finished college (and had the means to do so through ESL teaching programs) in order to meet up with some people she discovered in the Japanese doujin rap scene. This is how she met Tamaonsen and FAKE-TYPE. Since the girl wears her heart on her sleeve in her music, you can track her mental state through her discography. It sounds like she had a bit of regret since the reality of living in Japan as a basic white girl was a bit much for her; didn't help that she had visible tattoos down her forearm and on her wrist, so she probably got a few weird looks unless she wore long sleeves all the time. Since she's been in Japan for a few years and tends to focus heavily on her work nearly all the time, she might be a little out of touch with US pop culture.

Some other rumor mongers have also informed me that she either started or tried to start a relationship with AO (TOPHAMHAT-KYO). I honestly have no idea how truthful that particular claim is but it would make a fuckton of sense if she was initially rejected by him considering a lot of her rap gets into how she feels unloved sometimes. Even some of the songs she's made under Calli go into that territory, mainly Live Again and Cursed Night. I would actually be a bit upset if Karen doesn't fuck. Girl deserves happiness.

This is more than likely the case. The way they shot it has kind of been picked apart; if she was sitting in that chair with her equipment, they used a static image to replace her. This is why Garnt couldn't reach over to her side of the table otherwise his arm would disappear. As for the height difference, Calliope's model is always "standing" even if she's sitting down in the chair. If we are to take her character height as her real height, she's 5ft6. Garnt is a fucking giant at 6ft2 so he probably did have to look down at her.

Actually in Gang Gang Kawaii she says all the boys she wants to fuck are into anime girls. Interesting.

My headcanon now is that she wanted to date TOPHAMHAT-KYO but he's a massive weeb that only likes 2D girls so she auditioned for Hololive to become one.
