My guess is that he wanted him to explain it for his audience.
It sounds more natural to feign ignorance and ask the person to explain it than to say "I know what lolicon means, but could you explain it for the audience" or explain it yourself.

These leaks over the past 24 hours have really been something else. They've transformed the perception of Ralph being an out of control retard into a real life monster. After reading these leaks this saga is starting to lose entertainment value and is instead producing outright disgust and horror.
