I'd love to see it, but anyone who's been paying even a smidgen of attention knows that likely won't be the case. The laymen of the church are gladly willing to bend themselves into knots to protect the prophets, and even if they aren't, what the fuck could they possibly do that they haven't done already? They all know B-Dubs isn't going to change a goddamn thing, and he knows that all of the troons will whinge, scream, flail about and do precisely the same amount of fuck-all as usual.

Everyone involved will get exactly what they've got due, including us. Considering we get the laughs, I'm fine with it.

So was resetera promised as an equal place for conservatives? I thought even the name implied it was a leftist place.

Also, just wondering. What would happen if some MAGA Normie joined without really sensing the craziness initially and made an innocuous off the cuff comment like 'As a Republican....' Would they just be banned on the spot? Because this looks like full-on partisan witch-hunting with no pretences. Or has it only ramped up to this point recently?

Usually when some conservative unwittingly enters into the discussion, they get dogpiled immediately. They either get banned right away or they are required to defend themselves or their viewpoints, at which time they get banned. If they take too long to respond, they’ll get banned because they’re convinced it was just drive-by trolling.

Basically anyone to the right of Pol Pot is at risk of a ban. The only workaround for this is being a slavish devotee to a Democrat. However you have to establish your devotion because centrist neoliberal talking points are banworthy on their own but as long as you state your devotion to Hillary or Biden, it’s completely acceptable.

I'm guessing terms like 'supporting hate speech' are used. It's just weird that there are some forums that have outright formally banned Trump supporters with official messages but resetera doesn't seem to have made that formal decision.

Is that by design, do you think? To keep up the pretence that they are a 'normal' gaming forum and perhaps act like a Venus fly trap for the odd clueless Republican that stumbled in, allowing the inmates to have a quick fix of righteous anger.

Now that Black Chamber's banned and no longer needs to hold up the facade, we find out.... he isn't even a maga Trump supporter. He was just making a joke. He hasn't even voted. (By the way, in Resetera's eyes, that's just about a bannable offense itself. Just a few dozen pages back, they were discussing branding people's pfps with maga hats if they revealed they hadn't voted. I'm not joking.)

Just unbelievable. They banned a guy who didn't even support Trump to appease the troons, who were just desperate to find an alternate way to shut down discussion of the game. I can see the staff having an internal affair right now. Going after members social accounts is a problem. That might be a very good occasion for her to target B-dubs crisis-management. Might be wrong, but isn't she a non-binary too ? Could be the perfect fit for Resetera General manager.

If B-dubs survives this, he's solid. How many crisis did that fucker went through ? I hope the salary is worth it because I would have bailed the fuck out a long time ago, even for 2000$.
