I think I recall someone mentioning that once you get your sweaty bois up to Phil's level you pretty much get an insta-win button on those matches, as long as your in-game stamina lasts. It might not be quite that much time.
Yeah from what I've seen with turbowhaled out sweaty oiled-up musclemen like Dave's you win in 1-2 moves. It takes longer for the game to load a match than it takes for you to win it in that scenario.

There is still the amount of time and money it takes to REACH that point, though, which for him is unquestionably considerable given his roster.

Regardless of exactly how much of his life and income has been wasted on this shit, the fact alone that such a predatory game which requires no skill has such a hold on him and is supposed to be a secret makes Phil EXACTLY what detractors have been calling him for years: a stupid, lying scammer. And he fucking knows it.

He also took the time to play it on his wedding day, in between sitting in bed arguing with people on Twitter.

God, I forgot about that...

Phil really reminds me of those rappers who rent a bunch of expensive shit to show off in their music videos, except in their case it usually works to make them actually rich while Phil does a piss-poor job of faking everything and has so nothing to show for all his twelve years in "entertainment" except the worst rep that he could possibly die with, which he still publicly insists is unearned.

Only Phil could put on the kind of mask that he has to every day just so that he can earn a living.

Despite being easy to disprove, despite getting kicked from one faction after another, Not-DSP refuses to disprove he's not DSP (or simply won't react to such suggestions)
To me, that's proof enough it's DSP behind DownFromTheRafters, an innocent person would have got tired of "harrasment" and come out ages ago saying he's innocent and easily proved he's not DSP.
I don't think I have ever done something in my life for 1041 consecutive days but this guy manages to religiously log in this game for basically 3 years straight without missing a single day.

For me it's the way that Phil has gotten so upset over it. If it were bullshit, he would be supremely smug and rub it in our faces constantly that we fell for some troll op. His wins over us are so few and far between that there is no fucking way he is ever passing up such an opportunity. He would be like a starving guy who just found a bag full of hot burgers and fries.

It's him.

Idk, I'm a bit skeptical of all this, despite the fact I am not a fan of phil. If you look at every piece of evidence, really it comes down to few things where only 1 of them is damning:

1) They have the same names
2) Guy has the same profile pic and uses the app at times DSP is not on
3) Discord name + discriminator

1 and 2 can be easily explained by the fact that someone who doesnt like a phil a whole lot just making an account on the app and on discord and specifically logging on to the app whenever phil is offline.

Number 3 is the one that sticks out to me, and I assume most people here the most. Now idk much about discord, but apparently up to 10000 people can have the same username, the way this works is with the addition of a discriminator. So for example 2 people can have the username "sharpie" by having different discriminators sharpie#1234 sharpie#4321. Apparently, this combo is supposed to be unique (globally unique?) So no 2 people should have the same username+discriminator combo. But apparently you can do inspect element even on the discord desktop app. If this is the case, someone could easily change the discriminator on Mod DSP's username to make it look like the wwe dsp. As we know, there are mods that are not fans of phil anyway, so I wouldn't put this past them.

Edit: just tried it out with a server I'm part of, it's not difficult to make the discriminator look different via inspect element.

so someone who dislikes phil, has been logging on this WWE game, for over 1000 days and has spent possibly over 100,000$ just to make phil mildly annoyed on stream on the OFF CHANCE someone eventually found the username on WWE? It was over 2 years before it was brought up on kiwifarms.

that's what you think went down, huh?

Someone we know also created a blog and writes these incredibly formal emails and files false DMCA claims against Phil just because he wants to. I highly doubt $100k was spent. I think the numbers here are suffering from a snowball effect: someone puts a number into the ether, and the next guy picks up the number and adds more hyperbole to it.

I would not put it past someone here or elsewhere in the troll community to make an account on an app and spend money to make it look like phil is spending. It's not that hard to do. You make an account, you make an account on Discord, you find a mod who is part of the mod discord that doesn't like phil and get him to inspect element the id.

Whether or not you like phil is not the point. I'm not saying I'm right. I'm just presenting an alternative theory. The fact is he DOES have a point. The people looking into his bankruptcy (I mean the people whose job it is to do so, not the trolls) will most likely have access to all his spending. I would trust them over a bunch of randos on the internet taking screenshots. You can say phil didn't disclose all his credit cards, but he probably does have to disclose all his bank accounts, and I would assume that people looking at his bankruptcy documents would see transactions from those bank accounts going towards payments on these credit cards. Plus, 100k seems ridiculous to me unless he is storing money in his mattress and even then its absurd. Even before the bankruptcy, phil said he couldn't make payments on his credit cards. If that's the case I would assume any new credit card he applies for either gets declined outright or has a low credit line.

Read the thread before posting, nvm I see you just created your account to be exceptional on this thread.

Even before the bankruptcy, phil said he couldn't make payments on his credit cards.

so we believe phil, who has a near 15 year history of lying about everything for no discernable reason?

I highly doubt $100k was spent. I think the numbers here are suffering from a snowball effect: someone puts a number into the ether, and the next guy picks up the number and adds more hyperbole to it.

prove it. i want to see your numbers. we have math from people who play the game that gets us close to 100k, if you dispute this, show me the numbers. right now.

I would not put it past someone here or elsewhere in the troll community to make an account on an app and spend money to make it look like phil is spending.

so you're accusing @BT9494 of faking all of this to fuck with phil? he's the one who found the account and made this thread, so if anyone is trolling to make this happen, he is the only suspect. otherwise you're arguing a troll created this account, played the game for years, with out telling anyone, until BT949 found the account by per chance. which is it? is BT949 the troll or is the troll a brilliant future seerer? tell me.

I'm just presenting an alternative theory.

no, you're looking at evidence and going "nuh uh" with out presenting anything else. you want an alternate theory? show me your numbers. answer my question about BT949, show me an actual alternate possibility instead of just looking at what we have and going "i don't think this is true"

i'm suffering from a broken heart right now, and i'm going to be taking it out on you because you decided to come in here and shit up this thread with your autism. fuck you, answer me.

Mate, you're thinking too much about this.

If it weren't Phil he'd have tried to disprove it. He never made any effort to do so. He just silenced everyone talking about it.

That's how we know it can't be a troll.

Relax. I'm not invested into this saga or into DSP as much as people in this thread. I like the memery around phil regarding the things he says that are funny. If you're actually upset about my post then I'm sorry about that, but you're free to disregard it. I meant it as something to think about, not as a new branch of this thread.

Theory was the wrong word to use. I should've said hypothesis. It's my hunch that this is possible. It's an alternative hypothesis. But I did present something else: I said that the evidence shown MIGHT be wrong because it's POSSIBLE to simply inspect element and change the ID.

I don't mean to upset anyone. I was just giving my thoughts.

Pretty fuckin' convenient innit? you stupid cunt.

I meant it as something to think about, not as a new branch of this thread.

if you meant it as something to think about you should've actually, i don't know, given us something to think about instead of kicking the door in and shitting on the floor about how all the evidence we have might be wrong. because. just because i guess. you haven't actually given any real reasons yet that weren't already addressed here.

I said that the evidence shown MIGHT be wrong because it's POSSIBLE to simply inspect element and change the ID.

yeah and phil might actually be the best gamer of all time and every single copy of every single game he's ever played has just been buggy and his controllers have been unresponsive. that MIGHT be POSSIBLE.

or you might be a daft cunt. I know which one I'm putting money on.

also we know for a fact phil has a discord account, because he has mentioned having to use it to contact his "twitch contact" numerous times. why do I believe this when earlier I said phil was a liar and we shouldn't believe him? because he vehemently denied having a discord account when it was related to this, only when he started suffering on twitch and needed help did he suddenly have one. also we've seen the discord icon on his task bar from PC videos.

If you're actually upset about my post then I'm sorry about that

i'm upset because the person i love is gone. and because you took a shit in the middle of this thread.

Just to clarify where $40,000 came from; a reddit user was pissed off that Scopely made changes to the V.I.P. system. The current system costs $40k to get from V.I.P 8 to 15 or whatever the max is.

The gripe was that people over VIP 8 got bumped back down to 8 and had to whale out to get back up.

If Phil has been playing since launch, he took the hit. And he whaled out again to get back to VIP 13.

Screenshots have shown this game is not cheap. $10 for 100 pulls is cheap. $50 for 5 pulls is not cheap. At that price, Phil easily can spend hundreds a day.

No, dude. Hanlon's razor. If the guy was caught with jammy hands, sugar powder on his fingers and breadcrumbs in his beard, he probably ate all the donuts. The other option here is we have some guy who's life mostly revolves around Phil and he's willing to splurge thousands of dollars, over a period of three, almost four years, and log in to his sweaty manbulge smack habit religiously every day. AND he's unwilling to disprove that he's DSP with a selfie when it would arguably be easier than the alternative, in spite of his established massive investment into the game. AND he's perfectly willing to work around DSP's autistic schedule to make it look like his log ins are compatible with Phil's breaks and days off. AND he's perfectly able to mimic Phil's remarkably wonky and unique turn of phrase and style of typing. Down to the god damn typos...

You know who's life revolves mostly around Phil? Phil's. Phil would have the easiest time splurging after a whaleout by his paypigs and getting new wrestlers, as has happened. Phil would never log into Champions live on stream, or at least on camera, and if he did, we'd have him dead to rights. Phil would have no problem mimicking Phil's typing quirks. The things he has not done are as much of a smoking gun as the ones he has done. Phil has refused to clear Rafters' name by showing his account on the game, which he admitted to playing. Phil hasn't made a debunking stream to help this poor victim of the farms and other tractors. If it wasn't Phil, it would be disproved already.

It's nutty to even think about it. It's Phil. It's been proven beyond reasonable doubt. Phil's simps attack the detractor communities far more often than they attack Phil. It's not even Wings level trolling. The insanity of one troll having cooked up this big "Phil's still a gacha fiend" reveal with his nickname, then changing it, then Phil panicking live on stream hearing DOWN FROM THE RAFTERS!?!?!? (Bulging eyes go into overdrive) is just impossible.

Pretty much anyone with some know how about youtube and twitch and their automated shitty systems can file a fraudulent DMCA. Taking Phil down isn't even a particularly neat achievement in le ebic bot trolling that has happened on the internet. Miracle Of Sound, an Indie musician, has had copyright strikes on his songs before. His ORIGINAL songs. The bots fucking suck and are super exploitable. Superhound seems particularly good at it, so seriously, for him, achieving a Phil takedown is half an afternoon's work. Phil simply does not have trolls dedicated enough to pull off something this Galactus-powerful autistic.

God bless you if you really believe that. You probably should stay away from Phil, lest you end up believing he needs money from all those evil chargebacks and emptying your entire bank account into his out of solidarity or some shit. Welcome to the farms. You have the right to say whatever you like, but prepare to get stickered into oblivion.

Mate, you're thinking too much about this.

If it weren't Phil he'd have tried to disprove it. He never made any effort to do so. He just silenced everyone talking about it.

That's how we know it can't be a troll.

I don't think there is a way to prove it. He could show his phone but then people would say he deleted the app before showing it on stream. Even if he showed his credit card transactions (which no streamer should have to do), people would just say he didnt show the transactions for all of his credit cards and there is some secret one.

The people who have more information are the ones who did his bankruptcy hearing, and they decided that he was not spending money on this.

i'm upset because the person i love is gone. and because you took a shit in the middle of this thread.

I did give you something to think about. The evidence is based on the mod dsp and the guild dsp having the same username + discriminator.

Sorry to hear about the person your love. Hope you feel better

No, dude. Hanlon's razor. ...
The reason the guy wouldn't prove he is not DSP is specifically because he is trying to make it look like its DSP. In other words, the guy made an account on the app with the sole purpose of making it look like phil. Then, when people tell him "take a selfie" he simply doesn't do it because he knows it will prove he is NOT dsp. I would fully agree with you if DSP had powdered sugar in his beard, but I don't think he does. And in this particular case, you have some guy looking at the camera on the CCTV checking to see who ate the donuts from the snack room.

But I am not aware of phil getting worried about hearing Down From the Rafters or whatever. But even if that's the case, this board DOES tend to overexaggerate phil's reactions. I've watched phil's streams and heard him say certain things. Then I would come here to the main thread on DSP and read Surly Muppet's recap on it. What I've found is that while the 2 are close, Surly Muppets interpretation, and even how others carry that interpretation forward (snowball effect) cause what actually happened and what people say in this thread to diverge. Maybe not by a huge amount, but even a little bit is important in this case.

Part of the reason your theory/hypothesis is not being well-received is that we've literally been through this in multiple iterations. There was a second account I found on a separate mobile game that Phil had also specifically talked about playing that used the same "TheyCallMeDSP" name and was also fully whaled out. The price tag for that was never really determined as it was secondary.

The point is that all of the apparent evidence points to Phil. One of his "business expenses" he cited on his bankruptcy phone call was "microtransactions". What games have you seen him purchase microtransactions on/for? There's the occasional DLC, but that's about it.

TL;DR: Everyone reading this thread knows that there is a remote possibility that this is all some grand 69D level troll plan...but the far more likely option is that Phil, who is already known to have spent thousands on WWE Supercard and DBZ Dokkan Battle by his own admissions, simply continued to spend on more mobile games.

Yeah thinking about it at a high level I can see the microtransaction thing is a bit sus. But like I said there are people whose job it is to go through and track these transactions and they found nothing. The IRS wouldn't give me a tax return from over 2 years ago because of some claim about an expense I paid in my taxes. That process has still not been resolved. I would assume an actual bankruptcy court or lawyer would do WAY more digging especially into a bankruptcy hearing which deals with a lot more assets and expenses.
