Dr. David Thrasher, a close friend of Dixon and a pulmonologist in Montgomery, told NBC News that Dixon's wife, Gaynell Dixon, told Thrasher that his last words to her were a prescient warning to the people of Alabama.

“We messed up, we let our guard down,” Dixon said, according to Thrasher. “Please tell everybody to be careful. This is real, and if you get diagnosed, get help immediately.”

Coincidentally, Dr. David Thrasher is one of the media's COVID salesmen. Glad he was nearby to record these chilling last words that were actually spoken and not totally fabricated.

It's official I reserved my spot to get the Pfizer vaccine. I just hope that there is enough to go around now. Just because I opted in for the vaccine doesn't mean I could get the very first round of vaccines.

The way that they are rolling out vaccines is by region. Region X has this many health care facilities divided by so many allotted doses.

Kind of a minor story, but the guy who's been singing anthems for the local NHL team since I was in fuckin' high school has been fired for intended participation in an anti-lockdown rally. He's been a local institution ever since his performances were deemed a good luck charm in playoff runs back in 2003.

EDIT: the rally he's going to is not actually an anti-masking rally, although it's being described as such by media. It's an anti-lockdown rally, and organizers are neither encouraging nor discouraging mask use. They say it should be up to individual choice.

But lets all remember that we're having lockdowns to protect people in nursing homes. Who're being kept in prison like conditions, denied family visits, refused hospital care when they do get the coof and have infected people put in the homes with them.

Phase 1 of the Moderna vaccine trial was carried out on a total of 85 people (yes you read that right). A third of whom dropped out prior to the study being completed.

Why the high drop out rate we don't know.

No I won't be getting the coof shot. In my line of work I'll likely be strongly encouraged to, if not forced to, get it. But I'll be putting it off for as long as possible to see how the mass testing goes in the UK and other locales where they're rolling this out.

COVID vaccine cards have been confirmed by the NHS and UK Government, with patients' information written on the coronavirus passports, as well as dates of their vaccine doses. Will you need to carry your Covid vaccine card with you to go into shops and restaurants?

The new Covid cards will be a similar size to a debit or credit card.

It will include the patient's name, the type of vaccine received, its batch number, and the date it was administered.

The card will crucially also give patients a date for their second dose of the vaccine.

It still hasn't been confirmed whether the public will be required to carry around their Covid vaccine card, but ministers have hinted that it's unlikely.
