A shitshow of unprecedented scale. I'm hyped no matter what happens.
Eh, the crapshow is going to be from the left if Trump manages to successfully land a shot in this trench run.
If the left wins, it'll just be deflated disappointment from the right, considering the way the media has been gaslighting the country since the election.
You might get a few qnons acting out, but I'm it'll be a general mood of doomposting and theorizing about the next steps (either an exit strategy to somewhere else, or entrenching for the long fight).
That's easy. A WMD attack causing a civilian mass death event or a direct action against an American target.
The media will be used to stoke public outrage with fake polling showing a military response as wildly popular. Combine that with mass censorship on social media of any dissenting opinion as being fake news or Russian disinformation.
The GOP/Dem Uniparty will be completely on board.
They won't have any problem getting us into a war the problem they'll face is sustaining the war for any length of time especially if they decide to confront Russia directly, which I think they're crazy enough to try.
Maybe- but I'd say the risk is too high for a fresh front to be opened as MSM no longer has the massive sway it once had.
I personally think something like a Syrian escalation would be more likely- maybe spinning up another SAA gas attack on
'muh feminist Kurds/baby Arabs' as a reason for action. Plus, Assad is already set up as a villain from the last four years of the Obama term- which makes for a convenient narrative of
unfinished business. And like what I said in an earlier post, it pleases the Gulf Arabs/Israelis, weakens Hezbollah, and sticks a finger into the eyes of Russia and Iran.
Afghanistan again, would be another even easier route since it can just be spun up as a troop escalation in the face of a Tailban assault on the government. Of course, it's a sort of unflashy, overly complex, and overly familiar war that won't capture the minds of the public IMO.
