Who said that was his strategy? The Trump team filed maybe seven lawsuits
Trump knows damn well the circumstances under which the Supreme Court gets first crack at a case. This was probably the plan from the beginning.

Maybe Trump called the Texas AG office and explained his situation here so he can get a lot more manpower now that 7 states including Texas are backing him. The swamp is just too fucking deep.

I wouldn't dissect the exacts of it all without confirmation from either party or untial at least a year passes from this month. There's too much to keep track of and too many people screeching in the news.
