No he won't.

He's Mormon and in Utah. He's literally untouchable. This is a state where if you don't vote for the Mormon candidate you risk being excommunicated from the cult. He's 100% safe.
There has always been other Mormon's who would run in Utah. They haven't because the political establishment was behind Romney.

There are a lot of Mormon LEADERS who would like to run against Romney because Romney has consistently failed to push forward Mormon values.

Until now, the political establishment on the Right has never really has good reason to risk a safe Republican seat in a primary. Now they do. Romney isn't McCain, who shaped his states politics into his own weapon, Romney is a man who has enjoyed protections from up top that have made his seat unassailable. If those protections were ever revoked, there are plenty of men with the exact same qualifications he has who would be more than willing to unseat him.

There is a reason he hemmed and hawed for so long, and why he only announced he'd vote against Kavanaugh after it was clear the Republicans had the vote. And why he did not -dare- vote against Barret.

I get that they want to have a Mormon represent them.

But why that one?

Another Mormon needs to primary his ass out of office.

The question is now whether or not Romney's luck will run out. Even for an establishment neocon, he's seen as a snake in the grass and viewed as the arch-RINO.

The writing is already on the wall for that. McConnell is the one to command that, where he beckons the RNC will go. And McConnell has made it clear where he wants things to go.

Romney stepped out of the limelight as soon as McConnell said one cross word about his attempt to get on the Biden cabinet. And now this? McConnell does not serve fools gladly, and traitors less so. Romney will lose the protections he has used. The only question is if the RNC can find a suitable, and amicable, replacement by 2024 when he comes back up for re-election.

Trumpist forces just need a Mormon Trumpist Republican to primary him.

Also, Missouri joins the Jams

Eric Schmitt, the attorney general from Missouri, announced on Twitter late Tuesday that his state is "in the fight" after Texas announced its election challenge that would invalidate the 62 Electoral College votes from four battleground states and award President Trump with a second term.

“Election integrity is central to our republic,” Schmitt, a Republican, tweeted. “And I will defend it at every turn. As I have in other cases—I will help lead the effort in support of Texas’ #SCOTUS filing today. Missouri is in the fight.”

Schmitt’s tweet came shortly after Ken Paxton, the attorney general from Texas, explained his motivation behind the suit to Fox News’ ‘Hannity.’
He said that election management in Georgia, Michigan, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin—the states named in the suit—directly impacted voters in the his state. In particular, he pointed to changes that were made to expand mail-in voting amid the coronavirus pandemic.

I don't know why anyone's default is to assume fairness in PA when this is the political climate there:

TL;DR: Teacher got fired for posting Conservative memes on Twitter. Friends who work in education in the USA have told me that basically you best keep your mouth shut if you're a Conservative in that environment. The stories of the vote counters cheering when Republican observers were removed, as related by that Indian lady at the MI hearing, sound 100% plausible to me when stuff like the above happens.
Teacher screams at protestors to kill themselves: No big deal, here's a paid vacation.
Teacher who posts conservative memes: THAT'S TREASON OF THE HIGHEST ORDER YOU'LL NEVER TEACH AGAIN!!!
Yeah this is totally normal.

Why not file a legitimate lawsuit immediately after the election? Why have your allies lose forty cases all over the country first? Why wait until literally the last second to file?

People have been saying “lol, just kidding, THIS case is the real case!” for over a month now. First it was other people filing the cases, but wait for the Trump campaign to file lawsuits. Then it was forget about the Trump lawsuits, release the Kraken! Then those got tossed, and everyone moved on to Pennsylvania.

Now that’s been rejected by nothing less than the Supreme Court, and everyone is focused on the Texas lawsuit, a case so weak that the state’s own solicitor general wouldn’t put his name on it. A case filed by a federally-indicted attorney general that badly wants a pardon and is trying to curry favor while also shoring up his right-wing street cred before the next primary.

Now this case is the ticket? There is no way the Supreme Court ever hears an oral argument for it. They’ll dutifully accept motions through Thursday and summarily dismiss it, likely before the weekend gets here. Like virtually every other case, it will end it disappointment, people will pretend like it never even matter, and that it’s the next case that’s always been the important one.

Every single step of the way for almost five weeks, victory has literally been just around the corner. No one seems to ever step back and realize that to keep believing this shit is full-blown retarded.

Filing a lawsuit with no evidence is the dumbest move you can make, period. They needed time to gather evidence and show harm. These things usually take several months to pull off, and they managed the have enough evidence to convince Texas to file in barely over a month since Election Day.

Losing cases does not matter so long as you win the one case that does matter. Look at how Democrats over the years keep suing and appealing until they find a judge that gives them what they wanted. The Republicans in this case were going to the courts with evidence to see exactly if any judges would even listen to their claims. Note that Giuliani said the number of suits filed were around 3 as of the Michigan hearing. This is important to note because it means that several parties were slung for damages caused by these shenanigans.

The Penn case is still on the SCOTUS docket. The “Kraken” lost in a lower court, last I heard Powell is gonna appeal to a higher one.
(someone plz archive I am on a mobile device, apologies and gratitude in advance)
The federal case against Paxton seems to have been thrown out. What pardon can he get from the POTUS? He would be sucking up to the Texas State Governor for a pardon now. The case against him has been going on for 5 years now, btw. Make of that what you will. The (Texan) Solicitor General is subordinate to the (Texan) Attorney General and isn’t arguing the case in front of SCOTUS, there is no reason for his signature to be there.

The Supreme Court won’t just blow off a case where a State essentially asks: “How do our electors have any value if other States cheat their processes for drafting their own?” That is a definitive Constitution related issue. Texas is free to use any evidence gathered over this period of time, now is the time to sit and watch the show unfold.

Victory is right around the corner for both sides right now. This corner just so happens to be 500 miles long and requires you to drift like a madman or fly off of the cliffside.

Also worth noting for the guy you are responding to's prediction... if all the Supreme Court was going to do was look at motions then deny the case... why would they even accept it? That is stupid.

This isn't the appeals court where they more or less have to take a case. This is the SC. They can choose to simply say "no, go away" and never have to look at it.

LDS aren't as dominant in Utah as they used to be and I daresay it wouldn't be difficult to find another Mormon to run against him in a primary.

Romney's not even from Utah. He was born and raised in Michigan and for many years was governor of Massachussetts. He does have roots in Utah but he is basically a carpetbagger, through and through. It really would not be hard to primary him. In fact, the fact that he sought after and got Trump's endorsement for the 2018 Senate race and then stabbed him in the back pretty much sealed his fate in the Republican Party

Scott Baio said he'd be down to move to Utah and primary Romney.

He's no mormon but it'd be fucking funny to have Chachi in Congress and he's a big trump fan.

I'm sure happy days is popular enough in Utah to negate him not being a mormon.

Wow I opened the farms and suddently I'm blind. What kinda sped fedposted this hard?!

What do you mean it wasn't a kiwi?!

Apparently Biden announced a nigger for secretary of defense but nobody cared.

The news yesterday were booming that constantly all over europoor land. They're really trying to normalice a Biden administration. Meanwhile even my normie friends were like "but he can't actually fucking do that yet though" and wondering why the news would signal boost the shit out of it when they don't even give a shit about who our president chooses as minister during our elections. Seriously most people over here learned who the healthcare minister was when he popped up to anounce the covid related state of emergency, we had not heard a single thing of the bastard before that. But Bidden showing his niggas around like a plantation owner is supposed to be news all over the world constantly?! Yeah the glow's getting high enough to break conditioning even here in pozzland. The globohomos really lost the grip on the narrative.

FL Rep. peak Florida man is excited.

This confirms Florida joining the party, albiet probably early?

So the ex spaniards join the ex mexicans to defend america from the anglos.

Brings a tear to my eye. We taught 'em well boys, we taught em well.

It's not an accident or an error that Texas waited until the 11th hour to file this suit immediately after the SCOTUS was preparing to hear the case from Pennsylvania, and it's also why the PA case was unanimously slapped off of the table and the Texas case was given a scheduling order. Scheduling orders are not automatic. They are specific to the relief sought, and they are given manual approval. This is also one of the only circumstances where a court can have jurisdiction over all other states; the only court that can do that is the SCOTUS, and what's interesting about that is because it's the SCOTUS and because this is a dispute between states, it automatically becomes "original jurisdiction" instead of appellate jurisdiction.

The fascinating part about that is that it essentially invalidates all of the decisions in the lower courts to toss out evidence. Every case that was sent off "with prejudice" and smashed into the floorboards before they could even present their evidence in a bid to lock whatever they brought to the table under lock and key is now functionally meaningless, because we're entering into an original jurisdiction, meaning that this is the first time the court will be hearing the case. This isn't "stepping up" from the lower courts, this is leaping directly over their heads and straight into the SCOTUS because of the nature of the dispute. This is something that only states can do; not even Trump himself would have been allowed to present a case like this, hence why his lawyers told him he had no legal standing to do so, because he doesn't.

Everyone had a good laugh over the lower courts tossing all of the lawsuits to the curb, and some more astute people would have pointed out that you can't introduce evidence into a Supreme Court case, because by their very nature they tend to be appellate having worked their way up through the court system, and they'd be correct. However, there is a time when evidence is allowed to be introduced to a Supreme Court case: When it's an original jurisdiction case.

They've had an entire month now to bat all of this evidence around and gather up the best of what they can find, they've had all of it put through every ringer imaginable and the media played its role perfectly well by chasing the laser pointer around the room while the actual case was being crafted and prepared for the Supreme Court, hence why I said at the very start of all of this that we're heading to the Supreme Court one way or the other, so not much else mattered in the interim unless you're some sort of incoherent screaming sommelier.

This is the part where I start getting really interested in what happens, because this is a very unique circumstance that you rarely ever get to see.

Well then. I told you all over and over again the question here was always wether or not the RINOs would do as the Conejos did here in Spain and take over the party for the uniparty or if they'd be punched in the face by the true loyalists to the republic and loose the grip. Seems we finally got our answer. Based Ted was bidding his time while he let Romney show his hands in preparation for the pushback. Damn... Fucking wish our politicians had even half that much integrity back in the old world.

Forgot to mention by doing this they are opening a very bad can of worms and if not handle correctly can change the outcome of elections FOREVER.

From the very second Dominion got involved it did that. This was never something you could avoid.

Ah, globohomo. You don't know who wants to milk who.

It's a human centipede ouroboros. There's no point in searching for the end on either side.

Considering Cruz floated the possibility of being willing to argue for Trump before SCOTUS ages back...

ALL ACCORDING TO KEIKAKU!

Seems Cruz decided to skip the redemption arc and just showed up to rip his RINO mask off and start screaming:

As he shows us he was always part of the 4d chess. We were all fools for doubting his integrity all along.

Really, we should've known. He was good enough to fool the cops back when he was still known as Zodiac.

>Trump's team citing Ginsburg
Absolute madmen.

Also, I'm fine with that, keep the government too busy suing itself to fuck the rest of us over.

Well the belgians spent 541 days without government and apparently they were quite happy about the change of pace, so fuck it seems this is the new normal they were talking about so much.

Perdue and Loeffler have said they back the Texas lawsuit

https://www.ajc.com/politics/politi...-ag-says-is-wrong/YMVHQORW6NARLACY2PRIQGCQKU/
https://archive.vn/wip/psGyO
After the state of Texas filed a brazen lawsuit asking the U.S. Supreme court to toss out Georgia’s election results, Republican Attorney General Chris Carr’s office called it “constitutionally, legally and factually wrong.” He didn’t get much backup from other senior Republicans.

Nearly half of the Georgia Senate’s GOP members issued a statement siding with the Texas lawsuit that seeks to help President Donald Trump undo his defeat here. So did U.S. Sens. Kelly Loeffler and David Perdue, who said they both “fully support” the complaint filed by Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton.

Kind of interesting that they've finally decided to dance with who brung 'em even if it causes verminous outlets like ajc.com to write mean things about them. Also look at the absolute state of the guy who wrote the article.
