Honestly, I just want to ask you why you feel that way, what content gives off that impression. Because I have almost the exact opposite impression.
It’s fine if you don’t want to keep the argument going. I just thought it was an interesting take, feel free to not reply to this post.
It's not that I don't want to keep the... let's call it a debate... going, I just don't want come off like a know-it-all jackass when really this is all just speculation on my part. I've no proof, just some circumstantial evidence that gives me the hunch. So, before I elaborate, lemme acknowledge what SALTE said:
Depends on the circumstances. Fubuki could simply want to move on with her career if she grows too big for hololive, but if that happens she would more than likely be starting up an affiliate agency with YAGOO'S blessing. I wasn't the first one to point it out but I did make it relevant hear about the canary in the coalmine thing. Trust in Fubuki.
... She's a full on workaholic for Cover... She also runs two radio shows (I'm guessing the JP equivalent to a podcast) , one of which is an advice corner, and does a lot of other BTS work. Her first real vacation/break was actually this year, where she took a week off streaming at her manager's behest but still posted daily content to her channel and kept active on Twitter. Even unofficially, she's probably tapped as a consultant for some of the more front facing aspects of hololive since she's been at it for so long and knows what she's doing.
Potatohead, everything SALTE said here is part of why I got this feeling. Also, I'll admit to have worked with and known some VERY entrepreneurial people and she really has a lot in common with them. She's driven, a workaholic, a networker, she comes up with ideas (Gamers, like I said, was HER idea) and makes them a reality, she is extremely productive, etc.
Oh, and since Jaeger asked: I can't find the clip but Luna and Matsuri are still on very good terms, it's just that their schedules aren't meshing well right now to work together on anything. I think Matsuri talked about Luna calling her on Discord out of the blue because she missed her and they ended up chatting for several hours. Bear in mind BEYOND THE STAGE is just around the corner so all the girls are getting worked to the bone.
Thanks. And it is true--the big event is eating away at a lot of their time.
I've noticed everyone seems to keep saying everyone but Calli's and Ina's fandoms are the worst.
Meanwhile, at least in the circles I've been in, Calli's has one too many emotionally unstable spergs who play up their respective mental illnesses for pity points, and Ina's just gets rabid at the slightest sign of things being disagreeable (see: Ina's first HL2 stream and the incidents with those semi-famous HL2 community dudes entering her chat).
I have no doubt Calli's is a mess. It's probably full of desperate simps who dream of "healing her broken heart" or some similar nonsense. Kind of like Matsuri's fanbase is likely to be lousy with those types. But Ina's? What's the deal with Ina's fandom? EDIT: Besides the HL2 community dudes?
It's called being "terminally online" for a reason. Also, everyone and their fucking brother/mother/grandmother is becoming a "pre-debut vtuber" these days. It'll become the guaranteed mark of the shitter soon enough, kind of like verified "checkmarked" accounts.
I saw this all starting by mid-spring. Right around when 3tene and other motion-capture software started getting noticed on Steam.
I don't really see depression in the Senzawa stuff but I do see the happier thing as Gura.
Senzawa struck me as someone who drank for a good time occasionally. Considering the gaps between uploads, it seems like Calli drinks more than Senzawa did. Basically, she'd shitpost whenever she got drunk every few weeks.
I should probably clarify that I find Senzawa's stuff sort of depressing when compared to Gura, not that Senzawa was depressed.
If she's actually a teacher, Calli is trapped in the English-teacher expat overseas lifestyle, which is its own cesspool of lolcows, big fish in small ponds, and ridiculously stupid behavior. Drinking heavily is part-and-parcel with the lifestyle unless you do what it takes to really get yourself out of it.
