So at my current job, we are working with a system for sending out orders. Now, I am backup for another country which use the same system. You would think it would be the same process? Nope. Their process is completely different and way more shit and ass backwards. It took me triple the amount of time for me to place a fucking order. I don''t know how many times I raged at how fucking bad it was.

Today's irritating thing is people who say they love music, that it's a part of who they are, it shapes their entire life etc etc... then you realize they just listen to it.

Also anyone who has ever said "As a musician I ..." and you find out the only instrument they've had contact with was a plastic recorder when they were in 4th grade.

I have a customer who keeps inviting me round to jam with him and I haven't the heart to tell him that he sucks so bad that there's literally no point in that ever happening. The guy plays like he's never touched an instrument before. Has lots of stories about scoring weed and coke after gigs, though.

I think I know that guy. lol Luckily I'm not usually the target of his imagined entertainment stardom but a close friend of mine is, and running into this guy is as funny for me as it is annoying for my buddy.

I ordered something from eBay last week. Guy I ordered from immediately shipped it and I get an email estimating that it would arrive in three days. Meanwhile eBay is telling me it would arrive between the 7th and 11th. I trust the email because it seems like it seems to be from the mail service and not through eBay.

It still hasn't arrived yet. eBay's telling me it will possibly arrive on the 11th, but it's still disappointing it didn't arrive in three days like that email told me it would.

I dont want to debate my friends every second I'm talking to them and knowing I have a different opinion than him is just his key to being snarky all the time. Hopefully this makes sense, pissed me off.

What should be done is to completely destroy the concept of the state in a capitalist nation and reformulate it on the basis of humanistic ideals, but even I know that this is utopian. but you're right, people who inject near everything politics in mundane conversations should be punched in their faces the literally first second mention it.

Boozers will drink whatever they can get their hands on that gets them drunk, including mouthwash and jet fuel (the latter according to one college professor I had; I'm surprised that wouldn't just kill you).

My church is dying and no-one's able to admit it.

Our pastor was caught sleeping with another woman, so he got removed, and we got a new pastor. Problem is, he's from Bumfuck, PA, and is a hippy-dippy liberal preaching to a fairly conservative congregation in a fairly large city. On top of that, in a misguided attempt to completely purge our old pastor's influence, pretty much every program our old pastor implemented has been scrubbed, which is pretty much every program aimed at the kids and teenagers. Our service is now a "combined" tradition and contemporary service where we sing a bunch of traditional hymns, and our guitarist gets up there and strums along to a "contemporary" song with the tempo slowed down enough the old folks can sing along.

I'm in my 30s and the only congregation member younger than me is the pastor's 20-year-old son. My concerns about our congregation dying out without young members are brushed aside as doomsaying. Our current pastor has no experience with big-city-living and think the bums are honest when they say they want money for food and brush off the staff's concerns about safety. The only reason I stick around is because I'm one of two people that can run the tech booth and they refuse to train another. A lot of the current congregation members are also friends of my parents, so I'd get an earful from them about leaving the congregation high and dry if I just ghosted.

It's all so vexing.

It takes a lot of self control from keeping you from slapping the kid in the back of the head or tugging on his arm really hard because the little shithead won't shut the hell up. I know from experience because I have a younger brother.

I have a buddy who once handled that by baring his teeth and making a scary face at a misbehaving kid.
