Cyberpunk 2077 Grieving Thread

Is it true Cyberpunk uses a Borderlands style loot system? Skillup's review says so and I'm a little disappointed. I like hunting for unique items in my rpgs.

Ok, so fun story. My birthday was about a week after one of the previous release dates and so my mother, after hearing me talk about my interest in the game (sometime I literatly dont remember) decides to order it for me for my birthday.

She orders it on amazon gives my address then promptly forgets that she had done it, leading to some confusion when she gets a shipping conformation yesterday as she had no idea about delays and such (but that was ages ago ect).

So to my great surprise I find an amazon package when I get home, then a phonecall from mother that filled in the blanks and now Ive got a free copy of this thing. Which if you didnt know is just a dvd case with a gog code inside.

After a half hour finding my gog password ( I havent used gog in years), three hours to download another two to patch, total size on my hard drive is 59.1 gb and now I get to see the how much of a trash fire this is at launch, especially as the rig I will be playing on is 8 years old except for the 1080 card which is 4, shit I mean the thing is still on windows 7 and has ddr3 ram and a mechanical hard drive, basicaly worst case scenario for unoptimized euro-jank.

Here's what I know about the romances so far:

Characters that can only be romanced by FemV:

  • Judy (f) - fully lesbian. Anybody that told you BroV had a chance with her is a dirty liar.
  • Ward (m) - ex-NCPD cop who hires you for a couple of missions before taking you out on a date to ask whether or not you want to pursue a romance with him.

Characters that can be romanced by either gender:

  • Stout (f) - short romance, treated more like a fling than anything.

Characters that can only be romanced by BroV:

  • Panam (f) - cute nomad, definitely the best looking option and has the most charming personality. Not sure if the good ending with her is locked behind lifepath or not, but I know you can get the good end with her as a Street Kid. So maybe this game just has a grudge against the corporate origin because corporation bad.
  • Kerry (m) - I know absolutely nothing about this man except he's supposed to be the token gay LI for BroV. Apparently, nobody else knows anything about him either.
TL;DR: Save yourself the trouble and just go bang all the prostitutes in the game if you're so eager to get your virtual dick wet.
Looks like out of all of these Panam is the only one who has an ending with V. Wonder if this will add fuel to the fire over CDPR not caring about "representation" since she looks to be the only romance that sticks around and also happens to be the straight male one.

On that note, has anyone else seen the webm floating around of a streamer watching in shock as his V gets it on with a male whore? Anyone got context on that one?

Supposedly, going with Ward as FemV also adds content to the endgame cutscene, but I haven't physically seen it yet.

Imagine paying $60 to get teased and cockblocked by a fat lentil haired art director who wanted gay representation and not allowed to fuck the only attractive romance option in the entire game.

It truly doesn't get any more faggy, this pisses me off endlessly. I can feel the self-righteous grin of the unhappy hippo in the yellow shirt through the screen.

Literally subversive conditioning to make you as a man "learn your place" and "respect her choice". Fuck CDPR, fuck this game.
Panam is attractive, though. I'm fucking glad that not every character is bisexual like Fallout 4 and modern Bioware shit. The romances seem a little half assed so it might have been better to not include them but it's good storytelling to actually give characters an established orientation instead of sucking off the player.

I think I've seen actual uniques in screenshots, but who knows.

When I saw some gameplay from the unauthorized streams it looked like Borderlands 1's loot system, roughly similar looking guns with only distinguishing characteristics being some odd prefixes, slightly different parts, and different color schemes, the higher rarity weapons had cooler looking colors and patterns.

Dunno if there are "legendaries" or unique weapons and how different they are, assumedly there are if theres a loot system, but the streamer was more interested in clothes and driving through desert plants than to inspect any of his weapons.

They have "Iconic" weapons. Towards the start of the game, the gun shop guy in your building tells you your gun is ready and it's iconic so I'm assuming it's unique.
