The states are supposed to respond to the lawsuit by tomorrow, but I don't think a designated date has been set for the SCOTUS hearing.

I don't really expect Trump to win at this point, but at least I'm glad to know what it all has been leading to. I doubt that a re-doing the vote is in the cards, so could Trump's team somehow discard the electoral votes from those states altogether and they just get subtracted from Biden without any gains for Don? It seems to me that throwing out batches of allegedly fraudulent ballots is no longer the game plan.

From my understanding, either the state legislatures are allowed to send electors for Trump that are counted in Congress come January 6th, or they're barred from sending electors period and it goes to a contingent election. Neither are guarantees for him to win, but favor him more than if the case isn't ruled in favor of Texas. I've also heard that in the former scenario, there could be both Biden and Trump electors for the same state, in which case I think Pence chooses which ones to count. I expect there to be objections in Congress no matter what, frankly.

Basically, I don't know what SCOTUS will rule but a possible remedy is for them to say that the election was unconstitutional in those states and therefore give State Legislatures the power to appoint their own electors.

Another remedy might be to say that the mail-in ballot procedure was unlawful and therefore invalid. You throw those votes out, Trump wins all the contested states.
