I'm still ethnically Jewish
A bloodline Hebrew who worships idols instead of following The Torah is not much better than a Goy; neither have YHWH's favor.
"I will lay the corpses of the people of Isra’el in front of their idols and scatter your bones all around your altars.
"Everywhere you live, the cities will be destroyed and the high places wrecked; so that your altars can be destroyed and wrecked, your idols broken and abolished, your pillars for sun-worship cut down and the things you have made wiped out. The slain will fall among you; then you will know that I am
Adonai.
“‘“Nevertheless, I will leave a Remnant, some who will escape the sword among the nations, when you have been scattered throughout the countries. Those of you who escape will remember me among the nations where they have been exiled. How broken I have been over their whoring hearts that left me, and over their eyes that went whoring after their idols! They are going to loathe themselves for all the evils they committed in their disgusting practices. Then they will know that I am
Adonai; it isn’t for nothing that I said I would bring this calamity upon them.”’
“
Here is what Adonai Elohim says: ‘Strike with your hand, and stamp with your foot, and bemoan all the terrible disgusting practices of the house of Isra’el. For they will fall by sword, famine and plague. 12 Those far away will die from the plague, those nearby will fall by the sword, and whoever stays and is besieged will die from famine.
This is how I will spend my fury on them. You will know that I am
Adonai when their slain men are lying among their idols around their altars on every high hill, on every mountaintop, under every green tree, under every thick pistachio tree, wherever they offered sweet-smelling sacrifices to appease their idols. 14 I will stretch out my hand over them and make the land wherever they live into a desolate waste worse than the Divlah Desert. Then they will know that I am
Adonai.’” (Ezek. 6:5-14)
Ah yes, giving someone valid criticism is awful awful abuse but a man slamming his wife's head into the kitchen counter then raping her is a-ok. Also, I thought you said you didn't believe in psychology.
Actually, words CAN cut deeper than physical violence sometimes. A wound to the soul can last years.
There's nothing wrong with what is called "constructive criticism". Criticism though, is abuse, and yes it can cause mental and emotional affliction in others. Criticism (verbal abuse) can cause suicide, schizophrenia, low self esteem, anxiety, CPTSD, PTSD, etc. Smebody repeatedly punching someone in the soul with words is just as harmful as being hit with fists.
I don't believe in Psychology, but it's the language that you folks speak, so I use it because you don't understand The Torah
We have an incorrect application of logic here.
"In NPD, criticism is common"
1. Someone with NPD makes criticism
2. NPD people can be abusive.
THUS: Criticism is abuse.
This is not logical. Equating the behaviors of one group of people with all uses of a term is illogical at best.
However, let's go on that path, Melinda. In the world of ALL CRITICISM IS ABUSE:
Reviewers are branded as serial abusers and jailed for their crimes.
School teachers are thrown out on the street for trying to improve their children's homework. Bad on them for criticism.
You must accept and love all things the government does. Do not criticize - that is merely abuse of the government.
Sports commentators are put on notice for their extremely edgey takes on the games they comment on.
News becomes a spew of neutral words on a screen with no commentary. Can't have any pesky criticism.
Laws are never changed or improved upon - criticism is not allowed. It's abusive after all.
Yeah, that sounds like a dumpster fire, Melinda. Maybe you should found a country on that ideal of no criticism. Let me know how long that lasts.
But that's just my criticism.
You're not dividing correctly between "constructive criticism" and criticism.
Constructive criticism: "You need to keep your spending budget about $50 lower each week so we don't need to use credit cards"
Criticism: "You're draining a fucking hole in my wallet buying too much shit for the children. Money just goes through your fingers like water!"
As for criticism being abuse, if that's the case you've abused Marshall extensively and publicly. Which is ok because he deserves ever bit of abuse he receives
Nobody deserves abuse.
And I never abused Marshall publicly. "Eye for eye" is not abuse. Abuse is when someone instigates, provokes, or attacks someone for no reason.
Marshall isn't a victim. If I said harsh words it was EYE FOR EYE
