I have an honest question. Why do so many lesbians go for the Andy Milonakis look? I really don't get how any human of any gender or orientation could see that as a desirable goal.
All of the ones I've known like that have been the "Fuck the patriarchy! Beauty standards are the devil!" type making themselves unattractive on purpose, but I suppose that might just be how some people feel comfortable presenting themselves.

Oh good lord. I had to google Andy Milonakis - can't tell if the pictures are actually him or just random lesbians.

I suppose they think they look cool or assume that that's what it means to be a lesbian - perhaps a misguided attempt at androgyny? I can't speak for them as although I'm a lesbian, that look has never appealed to me for either myself or a potential partner.

Lol, well I'm glad to hear there are some exceptions. Andy Milonakis is what I think of when I see that androgynous, semi-butch, boyish look that almost every lesbian I've met seems to have. I think Luna was right when she said its basically an attempt to be nonconformist and non-feminine because of evil men controlling the culture.

But isn't basing your appearance purely on trying to be the opposite of what others want, still letting them control you? I've heard that some lesbians who want to look more "straight" and mainstream get flack from other lesbians. 'Be different by being just like us!' Also if they hate men so much, why do they want to look like men?
