Okay this makes me legitimately angry. Who the fuck are Kam and Alex? Why does Kam have a "chosen people" nose??? Why are they both so horribly ugly? Why is Kam using "y'all" like she's southern? And we all know for a goddamn fact Stevonnie is two people fused into one, of course they use the "They" pronouns, it's plausible deniability. Then your two other characters are regular cisgender fucking kids, WHY WOULD THEY EVEN NEED TO SPECIFY THEIR PRONOUNS IF YOU ALREADY KNOW WHAT THEIR SEX IS

OTL I can't take this. I just can't deal with this garbage. Give me tophats. I'm so mad.
I mean, doesn't the show often refer to fusions as a "she", anyway? I forgot. Garnet was always referred to as "she" rather than "they" despite being a fusion.

following the SU canon, the gems has no gender/ is genderless, but they use a female pronous and have female apperance, so yeah, you can use "she"

Went on their instagram account and *breathes in* oh boy...

To be honest...I like his art and a few pics are really cute drawn. (Rin on third, Kuuro and Tsukki on second looks pretty fine) I think he has a lot of potental, talent but his wievs (CP= NSFW Kagehina fanfic, pro-neopronous,) and he would be limit brownwashing, adding headcanons (yes Im talking about Hinata from HQ) and , cisphobia (yep this is a joke, but using the "cis opressors'' arguments s really lame) this big weird lips (eg Oikawa on second pics looks really weird, like a 30-yo, or Hinata fanarts ) his art would be a kinda better.
Or I dislike the dirty lineart, it looks l bad and amateur. Traditional hobbyst artist struggling with ugly traces after pencil there. I swear If you want to erase the pencil traces, because you want to clearly color the drawing, the dirty pencil marks can be frustratinng

We can all agree that every once in a while, they will hit the sweet spot. Maybe out of luck or a fluke every once in a blue moon. But in some cases is wasted potential for the sake of following a trend and belonging to a community (even if it's utter trash). Just look at rcdart, who made really good stuff before drawing unholy abominations.

I would even say (rate me optimistic if ya want) that everyone here has or had potential, but they fucked up along the way in some way or another. Either they let go of the fundamentals, they chase clout or they are diehards for CalArts and they cannot do anything else outside of that.

I also do traditional. Do you use different pencils or use the same for everything? If it's the latter, use different pencils. The HB is the softest and it will leave easy to erase marks that are perfect for sketching. Then, jump on the 2B. If it's the first, use a vinyl eraser. Even if they are not the best to leave the paper spotless, they do well when it comes to erase markings very well. Plus, if you're like me and you erase a thousand times, they will not fuck up the paper.

Stevonnie uses "they" because they're a fusion between Steven (a boy) and Connie (a girl). Normal Gem fusions all use she as their pronouns because every single gem is sexless but goes by female pronouns. Stevonnie using they is to get across that they're a mix of two humans of the opposite sex. As for the others..... I have no fucking idea. Woke points.

Invest in bristol board and a white semi-soft technical/engineering eraser. You can find them in Hobby Lobby near the amateur architecture and design supplies. Bristol lets go of pencil easier than normal paper and a technical eraser is just a more effective eraser overall.

The 'gems are genderless' excuse is bullshit anyway. They clearly are supposed to be all women so Rebekkkah Sugar can proselytize her all-female utopia. Hell, Sugar's BBC boyfriend said once over Twitter that if boys wanted male role models to watch, they shouldn't bother with Steven Universe.

It's shit like this that makes me wonder if the Russians don't have a point with their 'no propaganda' laws. Imagine being a young kid, unaware of sex or anything more complex than 'girl' and 'boy' suddenly being told that there are numerous other identities and that you're a bad person if you don't 'respect and affirm' that. Most adults grapple with sex vs gender, how is a kid supposed to deal with that?

I think this also sets a nasty standard of 'affirmation'. The implication is that you need other people to validate your identity for you by 'respecting your pronouns', but surely a healthier message is that only you can define your own identity? Why do you need someone else to 'affirm who you are'?

Look at the language and imagery in this ad. The NB kids are all older and cooler, all Black or brown and fashionably dressed. The normal kids are small and ignorant, plainly dressed. The little black he/him kid barely had one line in the whole thing.

''We all need to be seen and loved for who we are!' Why? Putting aside the fact that the guide contradicted its earlier statement (you can't tell someone's gender just from looking at them... and yet you should be able to see who someone is), why do we need to be seen? Surely having confidence in yourself is more important than the validation of some stranger? Surely identity comes from more than just sex? Why are we boiling someone down to just their sex, as if that's the most important thing? Why are they teaching our kids to obsess over theirs and other kids' "gender identities" before they've even hit puberty?

This is a disgusting abuse of authority by Cartoon Network.

And the most frustrating thing is that this nonbinary tripe is way more regressive than "doesn't matter if you're a man or woman, you can have any appearance, behaviour or fashion choises, don't listen to anyone and just be yourself". By separating gender from sex, it changes the meaning from "biologically-derived social roles" to "personality traits that are my identity now". Why be a boring old woman, when you can be a "nonbinary female", like aforementioned Becky Sugar themself? Now, without changing anything in your behaviour or apearance you suddenly become cool, unique and special and have hordes of people on the 'net defending and affirming you. And no one stops to think how hazy and fluid gender roles are compared to biological sex - just a couple centuries ago blue was considered the most feminine colour, and European male nobles wore frilly stockings, jewelry and fancy wigs. What, are they retroactively ladies and queens now? Also, I'm sure this desire to turn personality into identity has lead to rise of fictionkin - kids see a character they like and instead of thinking "I like and identify with this fictional persona," they decide "Wow, this is LITERALLY me". But that's a whole another kettle of fish, even though they have the same roots.

tldr: If you're a boring person and feel inadequate about your life or accomplishments, a shitty sidecut and an alien fart for a pronoun won't fix it and no one should enable people like you.

It bothers me that the randos are drawn with an art style that is still beanmouth, but not recognizably similar to We Bare Bears or Craig of the Creek.
Notice that unlike the one with woke Pearl, this is just a comic posted to twitter where they know all their spergy fans congregate and can see it. The line about affirmation of one's existence is laughable enough (actually the entire script is so robotic sounding it's hard to believe humans wrote it), but trying to push neopronoun bullshit tops it off as pure lunacy.

It probably wasn't animated because even they know little kids are not going to care or give a shit about pronouns. But man, I almost want CN to go back to that god awful live action phase from 2009 if it means they wouldn't post cringeworthy performative shit like this.

Another joke, but I think this one gets the job done :optimistic:
