No, it's just how Resetera politics work. This has happened like twice this year already. Your identity is a shield there and your status and worth is entirely predicated on how many victimhood identities you can conjure from thin air.
A few months ago you would've seen a bunch of posts saying "I can't believe _____ to an actual asian", or "I can't believe _____ an actual black member". It just so happens that bearded white goony-boys in dresses have been the gold standard victim identity for a while, so they get away with a lot more (for the time being anyway).
Because of this, there are tons of dudes on Resetera (and I suspect, the wider internet) just putting she/her in their bios to get away with slagging the normies who somehow wandered in there to talk about games (case in point, creepy LampTramp).

Guess they got confused with the sex version of 'pound'. Like really vigorous sex (from a man) is also described as '(getting) pound(ed)'. Where 'sand' comes from in that mindset if that was the case, I have no idea.
EDIT: Thought about it and they likely thought they're told to literally pound sand. Without a dick, which they cut off, you can't 'pound' anything.

Absolutely, fucking, nothing, was wrong about being told to pound sand. The issue at hand had nothing to do with them, and thus they were rightfully told to fuck off.
