Oh boy this is probably the first time I'm actually posting here but hey, long time lurker here - I was just casually scrolling through my instagram feed until I managed to find this beautiful piece of art

If this wasn't bad enough, the artist did these for "blacktober"

The first guy in the first picture isn't so bad hope they don't mind I make him into an original character

Honestly this is ain't that bad and SJW-y. I see this art is cartoony and stylized
Modern cartoons suck ass because of this sjw bs. The only good modern cartoon I can think of is Gravity Falls. I just wanna see kids going on wacky adventures and shit, not ugly nonbinary characters and kids lesbo-ing together.
If you want to see a few good modern cartoon series I recomend: The Amazing World of Gumball (CN), Infinity Train (CN), Hilda (Netflix), Bojack Horseman (Netflix), Over The Garden Wall (CN), Star vs Forces of Evil (Disney) and Dragon Prince (Netflix)

I currently watch more anime, than cartoons, so I'm not sure in 100%, but I hope it helps someone

Thank you for art advices <3 You are so lovely

Star vs Forces of Evil
I remember there was a really fucked up shitshow regarding that show and the people behind it. I don't remember much, but it was quite an amusing read when i discovered it.

I also watch a lot of anime, but i'm very nostalgic with all i watch and i always go back to stuff that has been around for quite a while and that it's a sound investment. I guess that's why when it comes to cartoons i also go back to old stuff.

What is it with Amino and JoJos?

I never really understood why Jojos attracted such a bizarre (haha) fanbase. I remember part 3 being very popular in a general sort of way, but this wave of horny woke fujos doesn't seem to have emerged until part 4 when there was a distinct aesthetic shift. Obviously there have always been Jojo shippers (CLAMP) but not nearly on the scale that we're seeing today. I think one of Jojo's strongest aspects is its exploration of friendship and loyalty between men, but that always seems to get overshadowed in favour of 'everyone is super gay and trans and also black!!!!' The complexities of the characters get sidelined leaving just their shallow flamboyant appearances.

Gappy looks so horrifying that I have no words.

Admittedly, I like Steven Universe. Even with the constant stream of SJW flooding and surrounding the show, the show itself isn't too bad. It's "inclusive," but not "hit-you-over-the-head-with-it" inclusive. I also liked My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic for what that's worth. It wasn't as mature or intense, but it was cute and it was fun and the show really started to evolve into something beyond a toy commercial after season 4 started.

That's always the hard part, though, isn't it, is liking shows that have big SJW chunks in their fanbases. A lot of (annoying) people will say "I'm a fan of this show but I don't interact with the fandom," I think maybe they're onto something.

This one is something i've been sitting on for a while. Let me introduce you to Blueycapsules. A collaborative "Parody"(????) FNAF comic. And here, you can see how collaborative it is considering the art doesn't even seem to be consistent on the same page.

20201215_193511.jpg
20201215_193535.jpg

The art used to be MUCH WORSE in the beginning. Probably because it was leaning much more towards it's "parody" aspect

20201215_193654.jpg
20201215_193657.jpg

The comic suffers from having too much text, sometimes even in a single speech bubble

20201215_193609.jpg

But i think the worse part is how this comic doesn't know how to balance the dramatic and comedic aspects. Sometimes, a joke would be thrown in in supposedly serious moments

20201215_193750.jpg
20201215_193721.jpg
20201215_193538.jpg

The comic is supposedly a response to official FNAF artist Pinkypills, who has done work on the graphic novel adaptations of the books. Her official works aren't the best, admittedly, but her fanart is much better. Everyone in the Blueycapsules gang and their followers all hate her. Can you guess why?

To top this off, here's some additional pages. Perhaps i will read this work in full one day, to see the extent of how bad it is.

I think it has to do with a fundamental shift in how fandoms approach interacting with themselves.

In Ye Olden Times, individual fandoms tended to set up shop on individuated forum sites for discussion and content generation. If there was a rift in the fandom, you could usually find someone willing to host a new site, and the heretics would fuck off to their own place while the faithful stayed. There were exceptions like Livejournal, and I don't think it's a coincidence that most of the really dumb fandom drama would go down on LJ.

Now, everyone pretty much keeps to the cancerous trifecta of Tumblr, Twitter, and Youtube, meaning elements of a given fandom who may fervently pray for one another to catch cancer now have to rub shoulders. Add to this how internet drama tends to generally escalate until reaching critical mass and you have a perfect recipe for what was a fairly normal fandom turning into a horde of batshit fujoshis.

Edit
I think, that Vento Aureo anime, premiere on Netflix, Tiktok popularity make the JJBA more mainstream, so that means more toxic fandom

I got into Hypnosis Mic recently and... well. Usually artists in this fandom are pretty tame, but some of them are extremely SJW and I can't say I like it

So here's a small blackwashing dump

While the guy on the left is drawn pretty okay-ish, the guy on the left got blackwashed. And the colors are awful too
Here's how he looks in canon:

This is especially stupid. This guy is a host at some kind of club/bar, he's supposed to be pretty and from what I've heard the Japanese don't find black skin pretty

And finally these guys. The one on the left looks nothing like his canon counterpart

I swear to god this always happens to bishounen-focused media.

Tbh I don't really mind shippers, but it's the fact that a lot of them are fucking annoying and push their agenda on other fans. I've seen people (who are likely 16 y/os) going "If you don't headcanon *character* as black you're racist!", "If you don't hc *character* as trans, you're transphobe!" and they were serious about it 😭!

It's shit like this that makes me wonder if the Russians don't have a point with their 'no propaganda' laws.
They absolutely do. That's why the LGBT+ hate them so much. Because they throw a wrench in their method of reproduction by refusing to acknowledge them as anything but mind-parasites.
I swear to god this always happens to bishounen-focused media.
Because these "fans", who are ugly people in body and/or soul, are drawn to beautiful things which they then try to despoil and uglify so they can take comfort in everything being as wretched as them.

Infinity Train is the tits. I love that show.
Also, Over the Garden Wall is a work of art.

My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic is still my #1 go to when family friends recommend a "safe" show for their kids.

As much as bronies are the epitome of autism, I still have to admit that MLP is at least somewhat entertaining and isn't screeching about gender politics 24/7.
