General Discussion for Virtual Youtubers / Vtubers / Chuubas - it's okay to be a simp for 2D, just don't thirstpost.

I have been seeing zero clips on YouTube regarding VShojo members lately despite making no effort to curate my recommendations. I used to have Nyanners and Artemis clips recommended to me all the time but since the launch of VShojo, they've disappeared completely from my feed.

Has anyone else noticed this?

I think that clippers tagging them under #VShojo has negatively effected their exposure by making the algorithm realize that holo and niji watchers actually don't give a shit about EN chuubas at all. Before, it would be difficult to filter all of them, but now that they're all under one tag, YouTube's malevolent AI realizes that if a user ignores one #VShojo clip, it's likely they'll ignore other ones.
Now that you mentioned it, yes, I have noticed the same thing.

Yeah same here. I guess I love Youtube now?

Interestingly, I get some VShojo clips because I follow IronMouse, but I don't ever see Zen or Artemis.

I never got a lot of them recommended to me in the first place, so yay?

The only place I've seen clips of VShojo streams posted is on Twitter. Other than that, yeah, I haven't been seeing them on YouTube either.

Same. I watched tons of Holo streams and clips and some of Pikamee, and for some reason I rarely got recommended Vshoujo and the troon shark's clip. Does that have something to with where I live?

Also, someone told me he had suspicion that the reason why people are recommended Vtubers' roommate or nakanohito videos are because Youtube has voice recognition program for their algorithm that boosted the algorithm's search

Some days ago I had a lot and I didn’t that but now I don’t have them anymore but I don’t have a lot of Vtuber in my recommendation and it’s weird I watch at least five clip every day

Idea: Make a Tim Pool Humpty Dumpty inspired chuuber. Then, make an Asacoco inspired "news" show where he reviews Babylon Bee posts mixed in with Cat Party news threads. No one will be able to tell what real, so they can't be offended.

I kind of like the idea of a Tim Pool-like Vtuber who constantly predicts civil war and societal collapse while playing Minecraft and Among Us. It sounds nice, but the thing is that they would eventually turn into a Vtuber Alex Jones. In that case, there's no point in starting at a Pool level when you can just as easily start at the Jones level.

For some reason I now can't get the hypothetical image of Lamy challenging Aki, Calli, or even Nene to Edward Fortyhands out of my head.

I always found the "KF is full of doxxing assholes and serial harassers" narrative amusing considering we have a rule against gayops and we call anyone wanting to be spoonfed dox a faggot.
on the bright side for me at least that image of the farms is exactly what led me here like a month ago thinking. "well if anyone's outted their identities surely it's the place known for doxxing" and I was just super curious.

then I lurked the thread for weeks before finally joining because the discussion here is generally just less autistic than any of the other big discussion hubs and no one here gives a fuck about "maintaining the illusion"

Is it just me or is the rate of new posters here going up recently? There was a sharp uptick and I don’t really understand why.
mostly decided to join after hundred lurking, and like other say comparing to others this more normal than other and not worrying much critizing
She was mostly ok but like i heard someone in discord, we are in christmas ON A LOCKDOWN she is probably alone just streaming right now, like Haato was in Australia, mind you the drunken whale?shark is when she is more entertaining. that stream gave us glimpses of how he is faring right now, i mean that refusal of singing happy birthday because she believe its copyrighted (it was until 2016) was hilarious and the ukelele singing was amazing

Mori i think was going to play it on consoles and Ame got a faulty GPU, lets be real the game would not be funny if it crash and burn in the middle, HoloEN already has enough technical difficulties on their own to add "shitty coded game" to the list

Seeing the collab of puyo puyo i noticed, that octopus was holding back, you see i follow another tetris sperg (Wumbotize) or if you watch Suisei streams you will notice that normal competent Tetris players always left a single hole to nail chains, Calli and Kiara never did that (mostly because they were in Puyo mode) but the octopus always did this even she made "mistakes" on purpose (throw a piece while talking where it was not supposed to go)

Several people in the comments also noticed and wanted a collab with Suisei

Edit: ficsed
yeahhh or doing tetris 99 w/ viewer would be great! hence you can get 99 people at once playing with you than waiting in queue to have a chance join mariokart lobby or like among us

also after many clip of that "noises" now Moona RFA stream viewer increase all of sudden and chat went thirsty

Same. Tried many place but can't find anywhere to talk about this kind of stuff. I tried the discord, and while it has some good part and cool people who really want to talk, a lot of them are just horny poster and idiots pretending (or not) to be Gura stalker. Plus, we don't know when the discord server gonna be nuked again.

Hololive kneels to the egg headed man

Coco made $50k superchats in two days. Rushia consistently rakes in $5k to $10k every stream. For perspective, Korone averages at $1k to $2k despite having double the live viewers. Live viewers isn't the most important stat for financial success on YouTube, demographics are. Only a small slice of live viewers will ever spend money on membership or superchat.

Also, memberships are basically locked in viewers and are probably the most important number to chuubas.

For an example of a small time chuuba with a low subcount (4.6k) but high earnings and high membership proportion, see Aoi Sakura. Her earnings are respectable despite her archives being under 10k views.

edit: removed the superchat part
God that is a lot of money. Hope they are saving some of that away. If they’re smart they can retire in 5 or 6 years.

I was saying to a friend the other day that I think it would be hilarious to get a Live2d, but only make a character that’s an XKCD style stickman.

I get a mix of hololive and vshoujo/artemis/twitch garbage, though I usually manually click dont recommend channel for the latter

Yeah I've been noticing this too.
The only Vshoujo related videos I get are from mousey, and thats because I'm subscribed to her YT channel, but I havent seen much from the others nor the tranny shark in a while.
