A Texas mom who disposed of her dead 2-year-old daughter and then tried to play off a life-sized doll as the girl has been sentenced to 20 years.



According to Click2Houston, Tiaundra Christon was found guilty of tampering with a corpse following the 2018 disappearance of her daughter Hazana Anderson.

Back in 2018, Christon told police she had lost Hazana in a park in Texas. According to investigators, Christon traveled with her boyfriend, co-defendant Kenny Hewett, and Hazana from College Station to Houston. The three stayed at a Houston Downtowner Inn. When she returned to College Station, Christon was seen on surveillance videos pushing a stroller. On Oct. 28, 2018, she called 911 to report her daughter missing from a park in the city.

Searchers later found a life-sized doll wearing identical clothes to the ones Christon told police Hazana was wearing when she disappeared. Christon later admitted to police she and Hewitt had sexually and physically abused the girl to death in the Houston hotel room and she had tried to cover up the crime by pretending the doll was Hazana.

After the girl’s death, the two dumped her body in Lake Moses in Texas City, near Galveston.

Christon’s trial lasted 15 days and she was found guilty after about 20 minutes of deliberations. The jury deliberated for about 40 minutes on her sentence. Hewett pleaded guilty to the same charge in November 2019 and was sentenced to a maximum of 20 years.

HOUSTON – A man pleaded guilty last week in the case of 2-year-old Hazana Anderson who investigators said was beaten and sexually abused before her death.

Kenny Hewett, the boyfriend of Hazana's mother, was sentenced Nov. 8 to serve 20 years in prison after he pleaded guilty to a charge of tampering with or fabricating physical evidence with intent to impair a human corpse.

The trial for Tiaundra Kae Christon, Anderson's mother, is set to begin Feb. 2, 2020. She is facing the same charge.

Details of the case ​

On Oct. 31, 2018, Hazana's body was found in Texas City, officials said.

According to authorities, the body was discovered 140 miles away from the park where Hazana's mother reported her missing on Oct. 28.

Shortly after the body was found, Hewett was arrested, records show.


He was arrested for a charge of tampering with or fabricating physical evidence with intent to impair a human corpse, according to jail records.

During the investigation, Christon told detectives that she, Hazana and Hewett were staying at the Downtowner Inns and Suites hotel in the 7100 block of Monroe Road, according to court documents. Christon told detectives that Hazana and Hewett left the hotel to get food, but when they returned 30 minutes later, the child was crying and Hewett begin hitting the child violently with a belt violently on her arms, legs and face, according to court documents.
Gruesome details

Christon said Hewett asked her to discipline Hazana, so she then hit her with the belt several times, but Hewett told her she wasn't hitting her hard enough, according to court documents. Hewett began beating the child again, and the girl started to go in and out of consciousness, documents revealed. Christon said she and Hewett put Hazana in a bathtub and ran cold water in an attempt to revive her and that the child had a pulse, documents revealed. Christon said while removing Hazana from the bathtub, she noticed the child had been sexually assaulted, documents revealed.

Christon said they later discovered the child was dead and was cold to the touch, so they tried to heat her body back up with a hairdryer but burned the skin of the child, documents revealed.

Christon told detectives that she drove around with the child's body in her vehicle's back passenger floorboard for three days before dumping the body in a body of water, documents revealed. Hewett also admitted to detectives that he was involved in the disposal of the body and provided the same details as Christon, documents revealed.

The body was found at the exact location where Christon and Hewett stated, according to court documents.

I do not believe for one minute that the mother just suddenly noticed Hazana had been sexually abused when she tried to revive her in the tub. She probably didn't want to give her man up and decided the kid was an ok sacrifice for access to dick and bling. Probably drugs too.

The whole plan is so calculated and sick. They actually tried to pass a doll off as a dead child who they could put out a false missing report on when she suddenly went missing at the park. Both of these sickos should be financially responsible for the cost of the investigation. Same goes for anyone else who kills their child then reports them as missing. Dumpy Badwig's big mistake here was was throwing the doll away in a park trash can across from where she parked her car. Did either of these geniuses ever watch crime shows on TV? Ever see Forensic Files? The doll was wearing the clothes that the child "disappeared" in.

The entire plot is worth of a trip to the gallows. Tiaundra Christon only has to do 15% of her sentence before she is eligible for parole. Hopefully they won't let her or her boyfriend's asses out.
